I post plenty but just don't typically honestly have anything of interest to start threads about.

I post a ton in certain forums, but for some reason never really start a thread. I'll try to do that more.

To be honest, I think I need to back out for the betterment of the community. Doing the easy stuff - like banning, keeping an eye out for spammers, etc. - has been, well, easy, but in terms of fostering a vibrant community my time and attention hasn't been there the past few months, through wedding, honeymoon, new job title, etc. Sorry guys.

I don't post too much anymore because the new Tapatalk fucking blows, and busier at work. No excuse though, I'll try to get a few NASCAR threads going throughout the week.

I'm in the same boat. New job title February and I'm fucking swamped, wedding June, honeymoon and new house September, and so on.gorocks99;1529196 wrote:To be honest, I think I need to back out for the betterment of the community. I mean I'm on here and there and knock out a lot of the spammers, but outside of that we don't really moderate anything anymore and I post way less than I used to. I'm willing to stay on, and obviously I'll do what I can to help out, and hopefully soon life will slow down, but with as busy as I have been this year I would understand if it was determined I should be replaced.
I can also just scale back to HSFB/BB only if that would be useful, and maybe get back in to doing some vbookie to help revive that.

I think it'll pick up a lot in general just do to summer being over. I'll try to be more active creating threads, though I post quite a bit already.

Yeah, I also post all the time, but don't really start threads because...uh...because.
So I'll try to think of things to talk about. Or just go AAF with random uninteresting links if I can't think of anything.

I try to start threads periodically, and I do try to stay pretty active overall. Starting threads is kind of streaky, but it's just an issue of content.
With starting threads, I always get weird about the whole "posting about something that's already been posted," which usually results in the thread crashing and burning pretty early.
The one thing I do catch myself doing is spending some time only really engaging threads I've already subscribed to. I don't know about others, but I do know it limits exposure to new content.
However, I don't work many hours, and I try to give myself as many Wednesdays (yes, Wednesday) off as possible, so I can probably be on here often enough.

Gonna have to give up the mod status. Would rather someone who has the time take it. With the new job I just don't have time to post like I used to and when I'm home I don't feel like looking at a screen and breaking up internet fights isn't fun.

You may have noticed that Belly has started a lot of threads today. I have outsourced my thread starting responsibilities to Belly.

If you can work on these that would be great. I can live with a lack of threads in SB if you are able to do a few vbookie events throughout the week.ts1227;1529218 wrote:I'm in the same boat. New job title February and I'm fucking swamped, wedding June, honeymoon and new house September, and so on.

Any suggestions for a new mod to replace gorocks? I was thinking maybe ohiobucks1.

He'd be probably as good a choice as anyone on the site. He's active in posting and stuff, runs one of the informal site activities with the Sheep League and doesn't seem to want to be the biggest asshole he can possibly be to half the other members of the site.
I mean, you'd have to look long and far to find someone else who fits all those categories.

Are replacements needed? For actual moderating purposes I'd think no, all depends on how many people you want to keep under an obligation to post content to keep it fresh.

I think it would be good to add one more person committed to adding new content. I agree that for actual moderating a new person is likely not needed, but with the slight change in duties I think it would probably be worthwhile to add someone.ts1227;1531191 wrote:Are replacements needed?
