The only coaches he is not taking are Kerry Combs, Tim Hinton and the TE Coach.

Where did you read that King? I heard that Quinn is being considered for the Buffalo head coaching job.

Coombs has already been hired by Butch Jones for his current position on the new staff which is big from a continuity standpoint as well as for recruiting. Hinton and Lorenzo Guess are likely to stay at UC as well. Hinton and Coombs both need to stay in ohio if they want to tap into the Ohio State Teachers Retirement System. Quinn has interviewed for the buffalo position but I don't know how likely he is for the job.

Quinn has likely applied for the now vacant CMU job as well. I could see him getting hired there if he does not get the Buffalo gig. It seems he is motivated to go out on his own. Then again, him and BK have been coaching together since Kelly was a girls junior high basketball coach so he may go to ND.

Coach Kelly cleaned house today at ND. He let go of all the assistants except for RB coach Tony Alford.

Maybe he can contact Vinny Cerrato to see if he wants a second stint as ND's recruiting coordinator. Cerrato resigned as the Redskins GM and was responsible for recruiting classes second to none under Lou Holtz.

Tony Alford did a nice job both coaching and recruiting. He's one guy I'm glad Kelly decided to keep.

Coach Alford is a good coach, I liked Frank Verducci too though. I liked the passion the offensive line played with this season compared with prior seasons.

It will definitely be interesting to see how this all plays out over the next few months. One thing is for certain, Notre Dame sucks and they will never win a bowl game against a team not named Hawai'i.

While I know very little about the coaching staff at ND, and less about what assistants BK would be bringing with him, I feel this is a wise move on BK's part. There's no doubt that based on the quality of recruits ND has signed, the on field performance should have been much better. A thorough house cleaning was needed, and he needs to put his own stamp on the program.

I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who knows what coaches followed BK to ND, and their perceptions of the coaching abilities of these individuals.

Hey UC, irrelevance is calling, don't pick up the phone.

Whats that you say, Kelly is taking all of his staff? You hired Butch Jones?

Should have let that call go to voicemail.

I don't want to read anything about UClifton. It makes me a little sick.

Can you just tell me if he is still coaching UC in the execution scheduled in Atlanta?

CinciX12, I am glad to see you posted your age in your username. You need to grow up.

BK offered to almost all of his assistants from UC other than Kerry Coombs, the DB coach and recruiting coordinator. Key offensve coaches are Greg Forest and Charlie Molnar (Forest was the QB coach, Molnar was the WR coach). I would not be surprised to see Forest become the OC in the place of Quinn. Those two have been with Kelly since the early 90's. On the defensive side of the ball, Kelly has offered a job to Bob Diaco as defensive coordinator. Diaco was only at UC for one year, prior to that he was at Virgnia where he was a linebacker's coach for a couple years and held the defensive coordinator title for one year. Diaco previously worked with Kelly at Central Michigan. One key coach Kelly has offered a spot to is strentgh and conditioning coach Scott Longo. Longo is one of the up and comers and will be sorely missed.

Considering that most of UC fans have laughed at the expense of Xavier for this for years, I'll respectfully tell you go to screw yourself.
