It would be nice to get 7-8 this inning and put it away

Luke Carlin can be promoted to back-up catcher behind Supernatural at any time. 3 hits and a 2B is already more than Marson all season lol.

White Sox are leading in the botom of the 9th right now against Tampa.

If they hold on they pull into a temporary tie for first in the division.

Having gotten up 5-2 against the Royals today can't blow this one.

Just got back from a nice day on the water. Day is even better because I left when the Royals were up 2-0. Glad to see Chiz doing well. He needs to stay up here.

Rage has been flawless, especially since making those comments.

If there's one way to gain the respect of fans after shooting off your mouth, it's to back it up---GO TRIBE!!!

Masterson on the bump tomorrow. Hopefully he can string together a few solid outings coming off that last one.

Oh god yes. Marson' s days are numbered.

great hitting by Kipnis and JoLo...and Chiz making the most of his opportunity too. I'll be there tomorrow in the bleachers. Let's make it two in a row!

I would love to see Carlin as the backup, but I wonder if they would rather having him playing everyday in AAA? He is much better than Marson, but then again....so is just about anyone.

How old is Carlin? Does him being in AAA help us for the future? If so, its a toughe choice. If he isnt considered part of the future, than he has to be the back-up. With Santana DHing, playing 1B and getting days off in general, our back-up catcher plays more than most. Marson is playing about twice a week, sometimes more when we have a lot of travel days (ie, noon/1pm games)

Yeah, no idea.....looks young. Honestly, I have never heard of him until the other day...so I can't picture him being a big piece of the puzzle....in their eyes

Our standards aren't that high for a back up catcher....Can you hit .200, Can you play good defense. Can youi run the bases smartly without clogging them up?

Lou hasn't been doing any of those things this year.

Mendoza Line .200
Marson line .100

I say we just put a sack of rice behind home plate and just let the pitcher throw into it.

Really interested to see how Chisenhall and Lopez play these next 15 days (or more) with Hanahan on the DL and Hafner still nursing that sore knee. Lopez, still just 28, former all-star and right handed stick really intrigues me going forward. If he continues to hit, will Acta/Antonetti find a spot for him every day? Does he platoon with Kotchman/Hafner? If Chiz shows his potential and rakes for the next 2 weeks what do they do with Hanahan when he comes back?

That's why I loved the Lopez signing. He is only 28 and was a former Allstar. Something could click and he could get to that all star level again. But at the very least he is a very good back up infielder
