McDonald, and the whole pirates pitching staff, has pitched well this season. Hoping for 2 of 3.

Pirates just swept the Cubs. Would love for them to take 2 out of 3 in this series. The Bucco bats came alive today as they scored 10 runs.

God I pray George Grande and Sean Casey aren't announcing this series.

Please Dear Lord grant me this one.

I look to beat McDonald and definitely Burnett.....but Morton turns into unhittable Roy Halladay against us.

Game 1 will decide who wins the series.

If so, be prepared for Grande saying "Buccos" one million times and Sean Casey obnoxiously cackling at everything he says

I've already puked twice thinking about it.

Really? McDonald's been Pittsburgh's best pitcher this year and Burnett has possibly been better with the exception of that one horrible start where he gave up 12 in 2.2 or something sick like that. While Morton was good against the Reds last year, he's been pretty blah against everyone this year. That's the game I have the least hope of winning.

This game is a loss. No confidence the Reds will win with Stubbs leadoff and no Cozart.

Off to a good start! Apparently getting 10 runs in one game wasn't too much for them. I was worried they'd be exhausted for this series, since a lot of the guys aren't used to things like running from home plate to first base, but so far, so good!

Hanigan dropped a 3rd strike on Alvarez and it cost us 2 runs.

Turned the game on. Saw the lineup, turned it off. This has the feeling of a few series where the reds play down to their competition after playing so well against great competition.

3-0 on a rbi double by Neil Walker. Welp looks like its outside time as Arroyo just doesn't have it today. Ball is up and it seems his movement isn't what it usually is.

Thank you, Bronson. Pedro needs a good game to get something resembling confidence at the plate and starting out 2-2 with 2 doubles is a nice way of making that happen!

Costanzo continues to get chances and continues to squander them.
Valdez did foul one off earlier...

Dusty taking out Arroyo for a pinch-hitter with two on and nobody out after four innings where he wasn't effective = smart move.

Dusty using Costanzo as a pinch-hitter in that situation = LOL.

Costanzo is 1-for-13 with 8 Ks. 0-for-10 as a pinch-hitter. #reds
