I would argue that a 30 pack of beer every day is better for you than a 30 pack equivalent of ketchup every day.ernest_t_bass;1180946 wrote:What if you drink a 30 pack every other day?

Who consumes a 30 pack of ketchup? A tablespoon of ketchup a week isn't going to hurt you.sleeper;1180980 wrote:I would argue that a 30 pack of beer every day is better for you than a 30 pack equivalent of ketchup every day.

It's not one serving of ketchup; ketchup is a signaling function for people with poor diets. They need high amounts of sweetness in their foods in order to consume, thus spilling over to their regular diet.justincredible;1180992 wrote:Who consumes a 30 pack of ketchup? I don't know, I probably consume less but I still use ketchup when I have fries (another bad food that is fine in moderation).like_that;1181008 wrote:Who consumes a tablespoon of ketchup a week?

We've had the same bottle of ketchup in the fridge since last summer and it's still not even close to empty. Eating ketchup != bad diet for everyone.sleeper;1181028 wrote:It's not one serving of ketchup; ketchup is a signaling function for people with poor diets. My point is that ketchup in moderation is not a problem. I don't care about anyone else's poor diet. That is a completely separate issue and isn't limited mass consumption of ketchup. An elite athlete with a strict diet can have ketchup every once in a while without a problem. A member of the general population with an overal healthy diet can do the same thing. A shit diet is a shit diet with or without ketchup.sleeper;1181035 wrote:Excellent oh wise one. Exceptions don't make the rule.

What about the word "exception" don't you understand? An elite athlete is the exception.justincredible;1181044 wrote:My point is that ketchup in moderation is not a problem. I give up, you win. Only elite athletes can consume ketchup in moderation without dying before they're 30.sleeper;1181059 wrote:What about the word "exception" don't you understand? An elite athlete is the exception.

It really grinds my gears when the catsup wont squirt and there's clearly half of the bottle left.Steel Valley Football;1180884 wrote:The newer squeeze bottle sux. The one with the hole covered up by plastic with an X slit for the ketchup to come out. I hate those. Hate the mustard one more than the ketchup one tho.

This post is so spot on it isn't even funny. The shit they put in this stuff also make most people crave more & more.sleeper;1180843 wrote:I agree to an extent, but when the average American diet is already full of corn based products(read: high artificial sugar) adding ketchup to the diet just piles more unneeded sugar on top of the already unhealthy food they are eating. Ketchup isn't good for you, it never will be no matter how much Heinz wants you to believe its got lycopene or whatever shit they come up with tomorrow.

BIG difference between one potato chip and one piece of broccoli. If it's not covered in processed cheese and other junk you can eat a shit ton of broccoli with no issues. Same can't be said for processed potato chips.WebFire;1181368 wrote:Why the hell would someone eat just one anyway? Ever seen anyone eat just one piece of broccoli?
