Like the early lead but Masterson is not looking too sharp, so far.

Pitched out of a nice little jam there. It could easily be tied.

Just because Victor's injured now doesn't mean he'll stay that way, I don't see how you can possibly say signing Fielder doesn't make them better. Does Fielder make up them better in Victor's absence? No, but long term they're better.

I was at the game last night, saw the long ass line Wes was talking about and was really glad I got my tickets on stubhub.

I know I meant this year. Who knows if victor will be the same when he comes back next year either. I actually feel bad for him because he seems like a class act guy and was one of my favorite Indians ever.

How many batters has Masterson walked so far? that's the key to his wins/losses right there

2 on with only 1 out in the 5th. Good chance to add another with Kipnis and Cabrera coming up.

Nevermind. Double play.

Would have been nice to get some insurance runs there.

87 pitches through six. Not bad. Hopefully he can get through the 7th. Should be a confidence builder for him.

Anybody hear anything pregame about who is available in the pen? Mostly curious about Pestano and Perez. Smith should be fine to go.

Verlander at 97 pitches. They give him another inning, I assume? Would be nice to hold this lead and get a shot at their bullpen in the 8th.

Assume nothing. They have let him start innings at 126 pitches this year. He is a workhorse.
