You are not going to replace poor parents. Losing battle.

Enforce the rules and let parents parent.

That sounds good in theory only. The reality is that many parents aren't doing their job.

hahah what? you mean the statistics and reason that show you cant stop the drugs, might as well legalize it? thats about 99% of the arguments and you know it.

i mean, you actually think you are going to change human nature by trying to stop bullying? and what if statistics showed bullying(or atleast the effects of bullying such as suicides) isnt on the rise?
No, the statistics and reason that show that the drug war actually makes violence related to drugs and abuse of drugs worse. Or we can look at real world examples like Portugal or really any sort of prohibition in the past in the US even of alcohol. Prohibition resulted in a pretty damn sharp increase in organized crime and some brutal shit happening.

If the end game that you're shooting for with the drug war is to lesson violence and damage from the drug trade then you should end the damn drug war. It's really not that complex but you've got such a hard on for any type of authority that you'll never see less police, less arrests, less any sort of enforcement as a good thing.

I understand that. A school is not going to be able to change what a parent hasn't done. A school can enforce the rules in place.

yes, portugal....a country the size of new york is exactly comparable to the US. and you could look at the netherlands...and how they are considering recriminalizing drugs. but yes, statistics, of which you have ZERO statistics showing bullying is any sort of a problem or that even anything can be done about it. and dont even forget that bullying....like the "war on drugs" is a pretty vague term. and how could you say there is more violence because of the drug war? you comparing it to prohibition that is 70 years ago? if kids werent singled out because they were getting picked on, they would probably get picked on less. the kids who whine and complain, are likely to be the target of bullying.

Bullies that say "please", maybe that's what we'll get from teaching them to be nicer to people?
