Dusty Baker is so weird lol (on staying in NYC):
“Two things happen,” Baker said. “You don’t sleep in New York. Even if you just go to your room, there’s noise. Doors slamming all time of day and night, because people are coming in at 4 or 5 o’clock in the morning. They say the town never sleeps. Nobody in the town sleeps. Then you got sirens and horns, taxis’ horns.
“Second thing is, when you leave New York you think somebody broke in your room and stole some money, because you always come up light. I’m on the 52[SUP]nd[/SUP] floor, I’m checking my windows. You’re like, ‘I know I had a couple more hundred.’ You’ve got to cash an extra check. … First time I went there, this in the ’70s. I had a burger and fries, it was 20 bucks. I thought, I don’t believe this.”
