So, I'm watching the ACC tournament and absolutely none of these girls in the field have a hat, visor, or sunglasses on. Is there some rule that women can't wear a hat? It's not just these two teams, I've not seen a hat worn hardly at all, and visors aren't that prevalent either. This girl who is pitching has the reddest face I've ever seen. Do softball teams not know about sunburn, glare and how hot it is out in the direct sun with nothing covering your eyes?

It probably has something to do with Title IX, the girls now get scholarships but the guys get hats.

Haha...I've coached softball at youth and High School level...and for one reason or another, trying to get girls to wear visors or sunglasses was harder than pulling teeth.
Last year...daughter Hits2 put on some big sunglasses when she pitched( looked bad ass)...and she and the team were pretty successful. She graduated last June...but I went to a few varsity games this year....every one on the field had sunglasses on..LOL
