And in answering the question I have said I have never voted for someone who was against black suffrage and will continue to vote against candidates that do. I haven't asked what you have done nor if you will ever vote for candidates that may be against black suffrage. What you have stated is also that you would not have voted for Lincoln in 1860 when he was the only candidate to oppose the expansion of slavery. I guess that was also true in 1864 after he had signed the Empancipation Proclamation and was working for the passage of th 13th Amendment but did not yet support Black Suffrage. As i have said before during the course of my life i never have and never will vote for a candidate opposed to black suffrage. Black suffrage is not inclusive of my question. It's more narrow. As i have said before during the course of my life i never have and never will vote for a candidate opposed to black suffrage. you on the other hand opposed the one individual who had the most direct effect on the passage of the 13th Amendment which lead the way to the 14th and 15th. As he changed his core beliefs he also played a major role in the passage of the 15th by being an early supporter of suffrage for literate blacks and black veterans.
