Every year this happens and every year I say the same thing (Perennials) but it never fails the wife will spend between potting soil and flowers (Perennials and Annuals) $600.00 to $650.00. this does not include the special ordered four hang baskets.

How much do you spend on flowers?

My wife always has grand plans for cleaning up the yard and growing a garden. We buy a bunch of shit and a month later it's all overgrown with weeds. But this year is going to be different...

Couple bucks on mulch and maybe a hanging basket or a couple flats of flowers. I'd say around 250

Zero on flowers. We live in the back side of the building facing the woods so no one sees them anyway.

We will drop about a Benjamin on live herbs, potting soil, and planters. The Wife loves her fresh herbs when she's cooking.

Well a Hundy was what we spent last year, but we bought a few decorative pots. We usually buy are herbs live and replant them. That way we can use them right away. This past year our thyme survived the winter and of course our chives came back, so it won't be as much as last year. We won't plant anything until the end of the month as we will be out of town in a couple of weeks. I'd hate for them to die while we are on vacation.

I go vegetables. They give back a little more than flowers.

It is worth noting that we did plant wild flowers this year, but spent maybe $5.99 on the bag. The added bonus was buying the kind which (hopefully) attracts butterflies and hummingbirds! A little education for the fam...

For my Mother's Day present I spent $100. The deal is, I buy them for Mother's Day and my brother plants them for Mother's Day.
