BTW LaPorta, Chisinhall, and Crowe are really hitting well in Cbus. And Damon may be in the line up tuesday in Chicago.
Did hear Damon is supposed to be in Chicago. LaPorta needs to hit well for a year before he should even be considered to be called up.

6 HR 15 RBI

This team is really lacking power. If he keeps putting up these hind of numbers, he will be called up. He's also been playing some LF. But the way Kotchman is hitting, he would probably spend most of his time at 1B.

I really hope LaPorta can get it together. He has the talent. Would hate to see us give up on him and he ends up tearing it up elsewhere.

I don't see a problem with bringing up LaPorta if Kotchman doesn't start hitting. At the very least...to platoon against left handers.

Update: LaPorta hit 2 more home runs and now has 8 in 79 at bats. Batting average is 390. The only downside is that he has struck out once every 4 trips to the plate.

Beau Mills also went yard and is hitting 317. Tribe can't have a first baseman hitting a buck and a half. The schedule is going to get a lot tougher now.

What is LaPorta hitting versus non fastballs. Thats all Im interested in. He cant hit anything that isnt fast and straight. In the minors, he gets about 100% more fastballs thant in the Majors.

Or just say Fuck You Jobu, I do it myself.

With Cunningham, Duncan and Kotchman not providing anything offensively, I can't see it taking much longer for Laporta to get the call-up. We will see how Duncan does now that he will be back into a platoon w/ Damon and only facing lefties and the occasional righty. But if he doesn't start hitting for more power, he will be sent back down. Between LF, 1B and DH Laporta could get 2-3 starts per week.

I figured Duncan would hit like .250. But I also thought we would get a lot more extra base hits out of him. 2Bs and HRs are lacking, which is a big issue for him.

i think in the long run he will. its not like Santana, Hafner, or Cabrera are exactly ripping the cover off the ball either. hell the team hasnt had a homerun in 10 games.

Hafner is hitting, Cabrera and Santana are not in power positions. What they give us is a bonus. Duncan has to give us power to remain in the line-up. Same with Kotchman and Hannahan. I can live with Hannahan cause he is clutch, and when he hits he has Extra Base power. Kotchman is worthless.
