Just set up my Google drive, seems pretty nice and easy to use. I requested my drive earlier today and got an email to activate it a couple of hours later.

Requested my drive but didn't get anything yet.

I use dropbox about once a month, intrigued to test out...

Does it have a desktop client like Dropbox? Or just web based?

It has both a desktop client and is web-based.

Drive and Dropbox are essentially the same thing. I tried out Google Drive yesterday but won't be using it going forward unless I run out of space on my dropbox. Given that I'm only using 15% of my available 13.4GB I don't see that happening anytime soon.

I'm too lazy to move my stuff from my Dropbox so I likely won't check it out

The only reason I can see anyone switching from dropbox is if they are a heavy google docs user. I use google docs but not enough that google drive is worth switching to. I love dropbox and giving google even more of my data isn't a top priority.
