I'm only upset at that President who uses my beloved soliders to play politics. I can't wait to cast my vote for the Republican party this November. I don't even care who's running, just as long as it has an 'R' next to their name they are instantly better than anything with a 'D'.

Gosh a ruddies if you only truly meant “my beloved soldiers” you would have one redeeming characteristic. It is nice to know in America every single mother collecting tanf is equal in terms of suffrage to you or either one of the Koch Brothers.

Behaviors change. If you cannot get free food, you will have to work like the rest of us. If you can't work, steal. We will place you in jail and take your kids away until you get a job. Don't want to get a job? Stay in jail for all I care.

Employment would drop to 0%, we wouldn't even bother with cyclical employment anymore.

that's why i am supporting Obama, so we don't have all those hungry children when Romney gives the rich a tax cut and balances it by ending food stamps. no romney, no starvation. But we do get the counterbalance with you as an active advocate for child starvation. You got your Romney bumper sticker VOTE ROMNEY Because Starvation Builds Character

In most of the countries where the poor are starving, mistreated, and taken advantage they do anything possible to escape to other countries. If we treat our poor so bad, why are the poor from all over the world risking their lives for a chance to live here? Why aren't poor that live here trying to escape to these other coutries where everything is so wonderful? If the extremely poor from Asia can make it into our country, surely our poor could make it to one of these wonderful countries in the world.

If you’re hunger in America it because you're self centered lazy mofo, you’ve fraud social services organization, self inflicted uneducated, chose to be a drug addict, others are fed-up with you, poor excuse for a criminal and basically a drag on society all of which are decision you’ve made for yourself….. Live with it, you not me, not society created your own faith tell me why I need to pay for your mistakes.

Now the children of those listed above are victims of a society that insures entitlement for poor behavior.

I understand that at time people need help and support but not long term support is not the answer for many of those people, which are enabling them to continue without a future. Living in the Housing Project myself I have seen generation of welfare after generation expecting that free rent, food and utilities are their rights. They become trapped inside a system that does not encourage standards, rules, goals or futures for them or their children. What it does create is hate for those who have, dislike for authority, crime, defeatist attitude that insights rebellious mentality and poor self confidence.
Welfare living becomes a comfort zone.

What to make a better America be rich, make money, enjoy the fruit of your labor (profits), set your standard high and make other reach for them.
Note: If you make money give to Christian charities at least the poor will have to come to Church for support, that could be a beginning of making efforts.

You can never get out of a hole without reach up first, reach out for entitlement keeps you where you’re.

an Bill gates children are not starving which like all your statements proves nothing. Cut the safety net, significantly reduce it= mass suffering ensues. starvation does not build character.

in fact when the Depression hit and there was no safety net to protec American we lost population to immigration, people left rather than starve. Because of programs started during the New Deal we help those Americans in need as a decent people should.

one of my all time favorites, i got mine so if you dont have it made you are weak, flawed and "a drag on society" If we look at the world those nations with the most social mobility, the best chance to rise and better yourself, they are ones who provide the most entitlments, the most aid for those in need. They provide a real foundation for rising to a more secure station in society.

I don't think most people have a problem with helping those in need. It's when the need becomes a lifestyle that the problem arises. And that seems to be what America wants to do and makes so easy.

I think you are confusing immigration with emigration. I don't think the U.S. should grow for the sake of growth, but that's just me. I also think Roosevelt's administration started our downward spiral with the unfunded entitlements.

I think alot of people have a major problem providing for those in need, begrudging them every cent, looking for any excuse to cut their benefits, deriding them for their situation.

you are right, I should have written emigration. We lost population to emigration during the Depression. FDR administration saw a situation of economic suffering on a scale never before seen in America. They set up programs to support those hardest hit, those failed by our market system and a reliance on charity and state aid. All of which failed the people at that time of extreme duress.

I think that's because of what it has become. If we had very simple, short-term benefits, I'd be fine with some. And most of that should come at the state level.

You really can't condemn someone else's logic, even when it was bad like sleeper's, when you use extremes like your bolded statement. That is about as illogical as it possibly could be.
