This game is key for Masterson. He needs to get his confidence back. And foot wedge I hate to agreeing with you but Gomez is going to be very good this year. Could be a very good 1-3 with Masterson, Jimenez, and Gomez

And in other news, former Indian prospect Drew Pomeranz, who really has no legitimate chance of making it in the majors, gave up 2 hits, 3 walks, 6 K's in 5 plus innings yesterday.
I'm pretty sure he'll be out of baseball soon. I read it in a blog the other day.

What do you do with Kipnis when Drubs comes back. IMO, he has to be at the top/middle of the line-up. Not at 7 or 8 where hes been.

Choo has been a bit hit or miss to start out. Not terrible, but not stellar either. I'd slide him down to Kipnis' old spot and move Druby to the 3 hole.Laley23;1149972 wrote:What do you do with Kipnis when Drubs comes back. IMO, he has to be at the top/middle of the line-up. What about drubs into the lead off spot and putting Brantley down to 7,8, or 9

Thats my initial thought as well. But Choo at 6 even just seems too low lol.
I also thought of that, but is Druby any good leading off? Id almost think Kipnis might be better leading off, since he takes a lot more pitches than Druby.Crimson streak;1149975 wrote:What about drubs into the lead off spot and putting Brantley down to 7,8, or 9

I just noticed we got a little behind on the OC winning tradition:
For the Seattle series:

For the Oakland series so far:

Id say kipnis would be a more ideal leadoff candidate than droobsCrimson streak;1149975 wrote:What about drubs into the lead off spot and putting Brantley down to 7,8, or 9

Well the only people who argue against math are intellectually limited or a redneck, I was giving him the benefit of the doubt.HitsRus;1150015 wrote:Wedge ain't no redneck....maybe a neo-hippie...definitely NOT a redneck.

I thought so too but Kipnis gets on base less than both Asdrubal and Brantley. I don't think Brantley is an ideal lead off man at all, but he's better than Kipnis. I'd move Kip back down to 7 after Duncan when Asdrubal comes back.dazedconfused;1149996 wrote:Id say kipnis would be a more ideal leadoff candidate than droobs

It is amazing the type of urgency playing for a contract creates.
Hafner has played like dog shit for about 4-5 years now, but since he's in the last year of his deal all the sudden he is getting timely hits, hitting for power and average. Shocking I tell you how money motivates people.

Tigers just lost...tribe can take over sole position of first with a win. I hope the lawyer around here can figger out the math on this.
Will probably keep him busy till the 7th inning.

Tigers lost today so a win today would tie us up with them.
