Reported today in the Findlay Courier that Ada, Hopewell-Louden, North Baltimore and Tiffin Calvert to be considered for expansion. The 4 schools to give presentations to other BVC members Thursday
Vanlue-North Baltimore in football (Instant Classic) Calvert, Hopewell, and Ada all good fit for the BVC, NB brings nothing to the table and their facilities are awful. BVC must be thinking 2 divisions. These 4 would be 2 for the Big division and 2 for the small division. Not bad choices, what about Riverdale I thought that they wanted in and they had not officially joined the N10 yet. Would have liked to see Carey in the BVC also. I think that the BVC is worried that Vanlue or Hardin Northern in the near future may not be able to field a team.

There was interest from Riverdale that for some reason dropped off. They have now officially joined the N10. I'm wondering of the N10 laid the smack down and left Riverdale with no choice but to shy away from the BVC.

Could be, and with no firm offer from the BVC they didn't want to be left with no where to go.

I think Riverdale may have already committed to the other new league before the BVC approached them. For decades folks from Riverdale have wanted in the BVC. Most all of their youth sports teams were always included with teams from the BVC. Now, it appears they will not be joining.

North Baltimore and Hopewell-Loudon BOE both accepted the offer to join starting 2014. Article in the Fostoria Review-Times and the Courier.
