i actually agree with you. Acta should have grown some balls and set the tone from day 1 that he isnt going to put up with bullshit pitching like that.

Is there an unwritten rule that you have to leave in your closer until the lead is blown? Add to that, the guy has only thrown a couple innings this spring. Acta blows...end of story.

They haven't touched Masterson all game. Let him start the game till he lets someone on. Especially when Batista was the 3rd guy up. Perez should have been out when Batista was up

They should trade Perez and let Pestano close.

As for this game, Acta obviously left Perez in too long and they never made a mound visit to settle his dumbass down.

However, people are going to bitch regardless of the scenario. If Masterson was left in and give it up, people would bitch that he should have never came back out because he was at 99 pitches.

Chris Perez sucks and I've never been that high on him as a closer. I want a closer who doesn't nearly give away every fucking game he's in.

You can't let a starter go past 100 pitches on start #1. Arms isn't stroh enough for that. All spring they work to get to the 100 pitch count for today. Later on in the year yes, but not today.

However, Peatano should've gotten a shot with Perez sucking and not having pitched all spring off an injury.

Bingo. Solid post overall, but the bolded part is 100% on. That's the gripe people should have with Acta, not that he removed Masterson.
