I like filibusters, but I do think we should go back to breaking out the cots. I was strongly against the "nuclear option" back when Rs were pushing it a few years ago, and I'm strongly against changing procedural rules for the exigencies of the moment now.

It's a good thing that neither party can ramrod through whatever it wants by having a mere majority. Supermajority reqs are common in many settings. What I don't like, though, is that the supermajority restrictions seem to come into play constantly, rather than being reserved for big issues (like we have here).

The bottom line is that only 40% of the country supports this steaming pile of crap. Anyone in congress who has the gonads to stand up and kill it is okay in my book.
