247 sports has him listed as the number one pro style QB in the state.

He's had 3 different offensive coordinators in High school and will have his 4th this fall. So the kid isn't he product of a system.

AJ Branisel is the second Bearcat Commitment. Chose UC over Mizzou, Toledo, Ball State, Ohio, and others.

Added another 2012 recruit this weekend, Braxton Lane WR graduated in 2009 and committed to Oregon. Decided to play baseball instead after being drafted in the 7th round. Spent 3 years with the Texas Rangers organization then decided to give football another shot.

Rumor has it that Oregon still wanted him, but Braxton decided to look elsewhere. He officially visited Ole Miss and UC, with tons of interest from Tennessee and Michigan. He visited the coaching staff all weekend and watched the draft with Coach Jones. Signed his LOI earlier today.

Ran an electronically timed 4.31 sec 40 yard dash in high school!!! He'll have 5 years to play 4, but d/t his age, if he's good, he won't be here that long. Very excited to get this kid on campus. He'll be starting classes on June 18th.
