Also Bubba kills the ball in a way even Tiger hasn't. I mean he bombs it off the tee. He went driver-pitching wedge on a 450 yard Par 4 for christ sake

Bubba absolutely kills it in distance. He would hit it further but he is always curving it like 30 yards left or right. Only 2-3 guys can keep up with him in distance: Dustin Johnson, Alvaro Quiros, and Garrigus. Bubba's self taught swing is awesome though.

It's true (in fairness "lessons and "studied" are terms of art) but he did play collegiate golf at the CC ranks and at UGA. He's definitely had pointers, but likely not a professional swing coach following him around.

What he did was nothing short of outstanding, the guy can hit the long ball controlled, and still has an adequate short game. Nothing against O who deserved to win, but Watson deserved this. A great weekend for him. And he seems like a very nice, down to earth guy to boot.

No he didn't.

The only person who deserves to win, is the person who wins.

Louis had the door flung WIDE ASS OPEN and he blew it. He didn't deserve shit.

Louie even got extremely lucky off the tee on #10 where he ended up having a straight shot to the green. I'm thinking the guy that hit a 155yd snap hook with a wedge out of the woods deserved the win more than anyone else.

The golf gods were smiling on both players after their errant tee balls. Pot luck that not one of them would have had to pitch out.

Louiy had a clean shot...but he was out 213 yards...in the second cut. He hit it thin and landed 25 yards short of his target. Bubba was also quite lucky...just 155 yards away. All these guys know how to hook a short iron. It was a really good shot, but not as good as people made it out to be.

On Mike and Mike, they said people were emailing in how sloppy the play was. Huh? Bubba birdied 13, then staked it on 14 for another birdie. Hit his second shot to 8 feet on 15. Missed the putt and tapped in birdie. And then capped it off by knocking down the pin on 16. 4 birds in a row. That's what won him the tourney, IMO. Nothing sloppy about it.

I assure you that not everyone can snap hook a gap wedge 155yds, that's a ridiculous shot. Phil and Bubba are probably the only 2 on tour that get that ball close.

Lol, they can all snap hook a short iron. No, they cannot. Otherwise, other GOLFERS wouldn't have been in awe.

Everyone on tour can probably snap hook a short iron/wedge somewhat accurately. Not everyone can knock it to 10 feet. Even fewer can do that to win the Masters, which is why it was so impressive.

Ohh the play was horribly sloppy. Nobody really charged on Sunday, they all just fell apart except Bubba and Louis

Every single person on the PGA tour can hood a wedge and hook it to the green. He got lucky getting it that close. He could hit 100 balls and maybe get 2 more that close. Truth is he is extremely lucky to be left handed b/c he'd never keep a cut low enough to stay under the branches and to cut enough to get the the green. Rors cut the hell out of one on Thursday but it went a mile in the air. You're only getting a hook to the green in that situation.

This is what I posted....

"All these guys know how to hook a short iron. It was a really good shot, but not as good as people made it out to be."

Bubba had a great lie...and he simply executed the shot. I would say he hits the green from there 80% of the time. I would say 3/4 of the pros will hit the green from there (hook, not cut)....what made it "really good", it crawled up there to 12 feet.

To say that only 2 pros could hit it close is absurd. I would say at least 1/4 of the pros would hit it to 12 feet...or less.

Yeah, in a practice round almost everyone of them could. To hit that on the second playoff hole of the final day of the Masters is something to be applauding. That's what is being argued here, although not surprised you can't understand that.

If bubba doesn't birdie 4 straight he has no chance. He got lucky to birdie them.

Are you retarded or do you just not think before you type?

Would or could? Getting it inside 10 ft with a hook is more luck than skill. You can't control your run out on that shot. Most of them could get it that close, most wouldn't on any given shot.

It can still be applauded currently, making the statement of applauding grammatically correct. Depending on how you read it.
