Change the name of the forum weekly to IHate[whatever is trending in the news].com.

There's bound to be a couple of relevant threads, and your weekly site traffic will surge. This past month it would have been IHateTravonMartin.com. A few weeks ago it could have been IHateSandraFluke.com.

Justin, to increase membership, you need to increase the amount of threads and discussion on here. To that end, I think that you and another appointed deputy (maybe an employee of yours) should start as many threads as possible each day so that people can comment on them. You could start threads about local sports teams with links to the local sububan papers.

If that doesn't work, you probably need to update your software and hardware. I understand that this is costly, so charge all of the new members a token amount while 'grandfathering' those of us who have been on for awhile. After all, you can always go back to a free site if this does not work.

I'm sure if you employee either of those tactics, or better yet, both of them, membership will skyrocket!

Yep, working on that at the moment. Still waiting for a design for a new header from my friend but the entire site will be getting a re-design. A more modern, simplistic design.

The design has nothing to do with the site being down. And no, the current design (of the forums) is not modern or simplistic.

The server isn't configured quite right. I'm not a server guy so I am trying to trouble shoot it as the shit happens. What was happening is the disc would fill up to close to 100% and then mysql would stop working and the site goes down. I'm working on getting the server to not fill up like it was.
