It would be crazy if he were 1 inch smaller..but being 7 foot he will go 1st round..I've already seen at least mock draft where hes going first found.karen lotz;1133597 wrote:There is no way you were sober when you posted this.

not saying you didn't, here is one where he isn't drafted at all. http://nbadraft.net/2013mock_draft
I just don't see it. He is good defensively, but he is rail thin and showed zero offensive game. Even looked awkward even trying to catch passes. I guess we're still 15 months away from that anyway, and a lot can happen.

I didn't see him as an NBA player, much less a 1st rounder. He was awkward offensively. Kept his ground defensively though.
However, this game shows why Sully will not be a good NBA player. He wilts away against height. He should come back to OSU 1 more year, IMO. Draft stock can't get any worse than it is now.

Im not saying I agree with Withey being a first rounder lol just saying a 7 footer who shoots 80%+ from the line and a beast defensively is gonna attract NBA scouts.

I trust your immediate post game emotions were running high. Lest Buckeye fans forget Randy Ayers' post Jimmy Jackson era, as well as Jim O'Brian's sanctions. The fact Thad Matta maintains a consistently Sweet 16 at worst caliber program, particularly at a football school is quite impressive.mallymal614;1133368 wrote:Maybe I'm going through the emotions but I have defended Thad and came up with excuses over and over again. Right now, he just isn't an elite coach. Great recruiter but must improved tremendously X's and O's wise. When you think about all the 1st round draft picks he's had and going to have, McDonald's All-Americans, etc, Besides 2007 he has underachieved in my opinion. I can accept losing to Kentucky THIS YEAR but not Kansas.

What does the rule actually say? Chest is fine? arms?Laley23;1133593 wrote:They actually had to institute that rule cause guys were taking a step up and jumping toward the basket on fts back in the day. It's not to be called if the natural shooting motion takes your chest slightly forward however. But no question craft violated the rule.

OSU still had a great season though. Making it to the Final Four is a feat.

Shooter can leave once the ball touches rim, right? I thought what Craft was trying to do was right--throw it hard off the front of the rim before everyone was set, get a shooter rebound and put it back. He just left too soon. I didn't see this as an issue of not knowing the rule, but of being too anxious to get out there after it.

Fuck I'm hungover.
I had to watch the game at a bar with no sound....kinda sucked. OSU just flat out blew it, not much else to say.
So now can KU handle the Unibrow? I will be pulling for them, but I don't see it happening.

Shooters feet must remain behind the free throw line till the ball hits the rim. I doubt craft knew that rule. He was way to early, and frankly, why would anyone know that rule? Lol. I think most people assume the rule is feet touching, like it is for guys on the lane, but it's just crossing the plane.fan_from_texas;1133640 wrote:Shooter can leave once the ball touches rim, right? Uh, I'd be willing to bet Craft does know the rule. Its a common rule that has been in MS/HS ball for how many years now. He was trying to time it, do it quickly. Which I thought was a great move on his part. It just didn't work out. Like anything in that situation, it was a long shot.Laley23;1133706 wrote:Shooters feet must remain behind the free throw line till the ball hits the rim. I doubt craft knew that rule. Tough loss
Last year it was Willy vs UK, last night it was Deshaun and Sully. It would be nice to see them put together a complete game late in March.

Sully not as polished as he thought he'd be at the end of this season I bet. Tries too hard to back a guy down rather than just take it to the hole, holds on too long, takes that unecessary extra dribble, bigs got to him and he allowed the collapse to happen all night, tough. Thomas in foul trouble...when was the last time that happened? lol
Not a lot to complain about other than coming out flat to start the second half, allowed way to many easy buckets off transition from poor shot selections while in panic mode. Only one team ends with a W at the end of it, wasn't our year I guess, would have liked to have the shot but don't think we would have fared well against Kentucky.
