Parker will have to have a big game and Cash will have to outplay Craft for UC to be in this one at the end.

I didn't realize the size difference between the OSU starters and the UC starters. OSU averages 2" on UC.

Yeah I'd like to see him come out swinging and OSU stomps these fools.

I have a pretty good feeling about the game, which makes me nervous because that usually means we are f'd.

That's a lot of why I think Thomas will have a big game. Gates will be on Sullinger, so whoever they put on Thomas will be 2-4'' shorter than him. He's already a really good rebounder, so I think he'll be big on the offensive glass.

Agreed. Let's hope it is an exact replica of his last weekday performance after 9 p.m. in the Sweet 16.

exactly. I think Thomas is the X-factor. If UC stays in Man with Gates on Sully, Thomas could go for over 30. Dribble penetration and Sully dragging Gates away from the basket are going to be huge.

Lol just playing around. Not sure the OP realized that last year's UK game was on Friday at 9:45 p.m. :D

I fully expect the game tonight to be a classic. Hope I'm right.

Unfortunately we don't always use that to our advantage, settling for jump shots instead of taking the ball inside (and not just to Sully, either). However, if we do, Thomas could indeed go crazy, and WB could have a big game as well.

Not sure I totally agree with this. This OSU team has taken less 3pt shots than any time Matta has had. I feel they do a good job of getting the ball inside. Its not always to Sully as much as I would like. But Thomas does a nice job posting up. Sure there are times when the ball flies, no question. But thats always what attracts recruits, Matta lets his players play the game without restricting them too much.
Now tonite, with size advantage, there is NO question the game plan is to plug it inside. I hope it happens early and OSU goes inside to open up the outside. Should be a fun and interesting game. I feel if OSU takes care of the ball, plays their game, they will come out on top with a 6-9pt win.

^^^I wasn't necessarily talking about chucking up 3's as much as jump shots in general. It seems if we play the inside/outside game, we're successful. It's when we settle for jump shots early in the shot clock that we get in trouble. JMO.

Get the ball right back into Sully out of this timeout. Get Gates his second then go to work.

UC playing the 2-3 could possibly help the Buckeyes against Syracuse.

He has a good stroke. I don't mind him shooting it. Unless he starts going 0-6 from 3-point land.
