Although Sullinger and Thomas had DOMINANT games, Craft has to get the game ball. He dominated on the defensive end and cranked it up when OSU got down in the second half. This OSU team showing some toughness in games. Not folding during adversity. Craft is really stepping up as the leader on this team.

Luckily Craft and the defense woke up and Smith stepped up. I don't know how they beat Syracuse though when they don't have a single shooter, except maybe Thomas, as good as Wisconsin's 5th best shooter. They can leave Buford wide open and it won't hurt them like the Badgers did.

The Buckeyes played their best basketball today with Buford on the bench and Scott on the floor. Scott can handle the ball and plays within the system. Buford was really forcing tonight by over dribbling and throwing some bad passes.
Very happy to see Sullinger prove me wrong. This is how we need him to play and then some. I figured Gates would limit him for the most part, but Yates really played soft.
I knew Cincy didn't have an answer for Thomas though.
And kudos to Lenzelle Smith. He's the next David Lighty. Just going to be a solid player; nothing spectacular, but he'll play within the system and do the little things, and he can score when you need him to.

Uh huh, kinda like Gates would push Sully around huh? Lucky Craft? Come on, are you serious? The guy shows up every game defensively. Teams are going to make runs, especially when you get this far. I didn't doubt UC would make a run. Didn't expect them to take the lead. That takes A LOT out of a team to do so. OSU weathered it nicely, and went on to win by double digits. I am hopeful Buford will have a better game as 'Cuse, although they mathup out of the zone, they dont' get into so aggressively.Cleveland Buck;1124855 wrote:Luckily Craft and the defense woke up and Smith stepped up. BTW, Wisky is really NOT that great of a shooting team if you check their stats. They shot the hell out of it tonite. But they had good looks too. 'Cuse will have trouble matching up with Sully and Thomas just as UC did. It should be a very good game.

Actually, OSU played their best basketball the first half. As bad as Buford played, he still stretches the defense to open up the inside for Thomas and Sullinger.hoops23;1124859 wrote:The Buckeyes played their best basketball today with Buford on the bench and Scott on the floor. Scott was on the floor when OSU pushed the lead in the 1st half. He missed the lay up but stole it back and it Thomas for a lay up... I believe that pushed the lead to double digits.centralbucksfan;1124872 wrote:Actually, OSU played their best basketball the first half. Scott was in for Smith, Buford was on the floor. Believe me, I am not saying he played good by any means. But teams HAVE to guard him. With Scott or Thompson, scouting report says LET them SHOOT from the outside.hoops23;1124877 wrote:Scott was on the floor when OSU pushed the lead in the 1st half. I'm actually not sure what you said because you type in broken English. You said "although they mathup out of the zone, they dont' get into so aggressively." Please translate that into English. I'm asking why you say they aren't aggressive, because if you think that, you haven't watched them play at all this year. This isn't a surprise at all, its obvious you watch OSU games and sit in on OSU practices and know nothing outside of OSU. Just answer the question, I'm not even asking you for a link to something that you said you read online.centralbucksfan;1124897 wrote:Did I say passive? Figure it out.
