You guys policies put us in a bigger hole than originally perceived
How convieient. How predictable. Blame Bush. Blame racism. Open your eyes Isadore...that is all your politics is about.

If Bush policies pushed us into a recession...then Obama blew the recovery. period. You can't have it both ways.
In all seriousness, Prosperity and recessions are cyclical and historical facts.

So many white folks are trashing this guy . He will do just fine and has done fine . He has to fight through racism at the highest levels . Some republicans are trying to destroy the economy just to get him out . Rush Limbaugh said it himself that he would rather this president fail then him being wrong .. OBAMA in 2012 good luck
Lol this is a joke right? Yeah, all white people who are against the president are racist. That is such a tired argument. I know I know white people are the only people who are racist. /sarcasm. The man was OVERWHELMINGLY elected in 08. Oh and you don't think he has used just a little bit of a racial tone in some of his rhetoric? I'm sure you don't. You think his policies are helping the economy? Yeah, Rush doesn't want him to succeed. Did you ever think that could be because there are people who think that he wants to change our country? No, you automatically jump to the easy argument and pull the race card. I'm glad you posted this because now I know not to take you seriously in this forum. I think someone spiked the leftist kool-aid you are drinking. I can't wait for your reply.

I'm not sure the four R's have doen enough to sway the vote, so no.
The "black" vote is important. But, the R's are also getting killed by three by other grousp: Women, Moderates, and Latinos.
The latest WSJ/ NBC poll has Romney at like 14% approval with Latinos, and he is the highest of the four. Bush barely won in 2004 with 40% of Latinos.

Here's the ORIGINAL article from the LA Times, written before Barry even beat Hillary - http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/commentary/la-oe-ehrenstein19mar19,0,3391015.story Contrary to liberal talking points, Asshat Maher, and the cast of MSNBC, the term was NOT coined by Limbaugh nor anyone on the right. Yet, here you are espousing it as some sort of Republican strategy.

A higher percentage of Republicans voted in favor of the Civil Rights law than did Democrats. Just sayin.

To be fair about it...blue dog Democrats were very high in number in 64. After the CRA, almost all of the bigots joined the GOP.

Doesn't matter really who originally wrote the "Magic Negro" verse. Only one public radio personality aired it daily on his program. But he's just an entertainer...so I guess it doesn't matter.

The economy maybe cyclical but the peaks and troughs of those cycles are much effected by government policies. And Bush era deregulation pushed us deep into a cycle to a place we had not been in 7 decades. Plus his massive tax cuts and fed policy that set interest rates so low that Obama was deprived of the best tools to fight the Great Recession.

Thats 1964. Of course Barry Goldwater, their candidate for president voted against it. Then they adopted their Southern strategy to trade off Black support for the white racist vote. And Strom Thurmond and Jesse Helms found a new home.

1) Most of the financial crisis has its roots in the Clinton era.
2) Democrats controlling House and Senate from 2006-2010, near supermajority the last half of that.

Who's fault was it again?

A better barometer on the CRA....about 90% of southern politicians were against the CRA....whereby 90% of northern politicians were for the CRA.

Had more to do with geography than party affiliation.

The repeal of Glass Steagal by Republicans Gramm, Leach, Bliley was the single biggest contributor to the financial crap that removed tens of trillions of dollars in overall wealth....an economy that has not recovered...since 08.

Clinton gets the assist by signing that garbage into law.

It was a contributor, the primary drivers were absurdly low interest rates (in response to the Internet Bubble, also under Clintong's watch) and FNMA/FMAC. Without that juice, Glass Steagall is not the problem.

Now, who was President when Glass Steagal was repealed? Besides, take a look at the voting record and it's hard to call it anything other than BIPARTISAN.

a white man writing a line "See, real black men, like Snoop Dog,Or me, or Farrakan." is racist. And anyone watching the tape of the congressman going into the capitol can see he was spit on.

2001-2007 Republican control of the Presidency and Congress.something the Democrats did not have for the last 6 years of the Clinton Presidency. 2007-2008 a Senate without a clear majority from either party and with Cheney presiding. The Republican tax cuts and deregulation drove us into our economic disaster.

That's just ignorant. That's what the liberals need you to believe to keep voting for their failed policies. It's been a joint effort to get where we are, and at best a joint effort unable to get out of this. But I can't fire all the idiots in Washington, only the one in the Oval Office.

Obama is running up an average of $1T more a year in deficits than Bush....3 years in when does he take ownership of this?

But the better question, the one you should be asking....If the Repubs were handing out all this corporate welfare and free rides to the rich....$4T later under Obama WHERE is all that money going? Take a look around you and try to tell me WHERE IN HELL DID FOUR TRILLION GO?!?

The simple answer is Obama is flushing money down the toilet at record rates by almost any measure. And it's time to flush him in 2012.

Here's another observation for reflection: It took almost 30 years and GWB for Liberals to be relevant again. Swept Obama/Pelosi/Reid into power with a popular mandate. And they blew their fucking wad in 2 years!!!

30 years of only conservatives being relevant and we our debt taken from less than one trillion to more than ten. All the protection that prevented us from economic collapse were eviscerated. Thank you conservatives.
