I've also had dreams within dreams. My weirdest though is when I'm sleeping and trying wake up and can't. I try to cry out a yell, sometimes I manage to other times I can't. Then when I wake up ask people in the room where I was napping if I said anything and it's always no. That usually only occurs in quick naps...aka Heretic's every waking moment.
That kind of thing hasn't happened to me for a while, but there was a period of time when I had them happen to me a lot. Looked it up online...can't remember it, but there's an actual name for it. The explanation is that when you're asleep, your body produces some chemical that paralyzes you (so you don't hurt yourself/others during vivid dreams by flailing around). When you wake up, that chemical stops being released, so you can move again. But sometimes, you have this situation where you wake up early, you're still semi-paralyzed and since you're caught between awake and asleep, you have audio/visual hallucinations. Usually along the lines of this sense of doom where you can kinda catch some scary-ass presence just out of sight like out of the corner of your eye. While you're trying to move, but it feels near-impossible. And you're half asleep anyway, so it's your dream self that's essentially paralyzed.

This has happened to me as well. Interesting to see there is an explanation to this.

Had a weird one last night. I don't remember much but what I do remember was weird as shit.

I was riding my motorcycle for the first time of the year, only the motorcycle wasn't a motorcycle. It was a cordless screwdriver. I was just holding it in front of me, squeezing the trigger, and I was floating down the highway. Unfortunately it was also raining and it was hard to grip so I could hardly hold on to it and kept coming close to wiping out. At one point I just started spinning in circles going down the highway.

lol

I had one last night and woke up in the middle of the night and had one of those I will definately remember this moments.

So here it is.

So earlier in my dream I am in some type of war, in my dream it was the Civil War but all screwd up I don't remember much about this part. The second part I remember was a war veteran ceremony I think. It was at a basketball arena like Nationwide or something and all the union guys were in uniform in the stands with musketts. (some of the vets were 12 y/o kids others were 90 y/o dudes) I was in the stands and was a vet. We didn't have bullets we were just going to fire blanks doing some type of reenactment. Well the elephant doors (giant doors in the stadium that lets shit into the arena floor) open and these ships came out. They were like a parade float but giant and like the ship in the pic below. Anyway a bunch of these things come out and start firing cannons (blanks) into the union crowd and they all drive to a part of the stands and "dock", a door in opens the ship (ala WWII normandy) and confederate guys come pouring out, meanwhile confederate guys are on the top deck of the ship too firing into the crowd. So we are all shooting our fake musketts and cannons at each other and people were fake dying everywhere. Then someone on the PA tells us to stop. Everyone stops and its complete silence, when someone next to me shoots a guy standing on the ship; the guy fake dies and keels over backwards. The guy that shot him in the stand says "oopps". End of dream.

Interpretation: You know you are screwed when you are riding your bike and you are not in control of your life and you will surely die. /Everyone who told you not buy a bike.

But, no one I know personally told me not to get the bike. Perhaps I personally feel like I am screwed when I ride.

Correct, but no one that I know in real life said I shouldn't get one. My wife wasn't thrilled but didn't try to talk me out of it. She just said "don't kill yourself."
