Sad that you have daughters.

Good one!Tiernan;1104702 wrote:One word..."plastics".
I agree with this. You can save mucho dinero this way loading up on pre-requisites and nobody is going to care that your first two years were at a 2 yr school. Tuition at Columbus State, for example, are $79 per credit hour, whereas most of the state schools are around $250 per credit hour. My neighbors kid went to Columbus State his first two years and then finished up with a degree in biomechanical engineering at Ohio State. He is going to medical school in the fall.ernest_t_bass;1105489 wrote:Here is some advice that I give to many students: GO TO A TWO YEAR SCHOOL!
Go to a two year school, especially if you are unsure of what you want to study. Not only do you save money, but you get paper after your first two years of college (in most cases). In many colleges/universities, having an associates dregree is better than just having two years of college. I always look at a two year dregree as a "save point." You may go for those two years and absolutely HATE college, but you have some paper to fall back on. You go to a four-year school for two year, decide you don't like it... the only thing you (probably) have to show for it is debt.
Do you know if all of his Columbus state credits transferred? I'm not knocking the 2 year degree route, but I have friends who thought they were smart starting at Columbus State, but when they transferred not all of their classes transferred. And they also had all of their general classes out of the way, but then they only had "hard" classes left at OSU and it impacted their GPA.Little Danny;1105528 wrote:IMy neighbors kid went to Columbus State his first two years and then finished up with a degree in biomechanical engineering at Ohio State.
He graduated in four years and I am pretty sure most if not all of his credits transferred. His dad constantly raves about what a good deal it was (obviously). For him, I am guessing the issue of GPA was a non-factor since he was accepted to medical school. I could see how it could adversely impact others though.FatHobbit;1105539 wrote:Do you know if all of his Columbus state credits transferred? Also, did he get out of OSU/Columbus State in four years?
Then your friends were lying, or they were enrolled in developmental classes that didn't transfer because they were behind OSU's curriculum.FatHobbit;1105539 wrote: I have friends who thought they were smart starting at Columbus State, but when they transferred not all of their classes transferred.
Ummm, what?Belly35;1105612 wrote: Communication is no a career
So not all of your classes transferred? I'm not sure what your point is, as that is exactly what I was talking about. (I didn't say all of them wouldn't transfer, I just know sometimes some of them don't.)dlazz;1105576 wrote:Then your friends were lying, or they were enrolled in developmental classes that didn't transfer because they were behind OSU's curriculum.
Columbus State is more compatible than Wright State, and when I transferred from WSU I had only one class that didn't "transfer" and it technically did...but I didn't get a BIO credit for it, so I had to retake Biology 102 at OSU.
lol...I was thinking the same.Laley23;1105623 wrote:Ummm, what?
Laley... What are MVCD's chances of making District final? Will you be in attendance?Laley23;1105623 wrote:Ummm, what?
Dlazz is speaking of his credit hours from Wright State. You commented about Columbus State. I think the point Dlazz was making is that credit hours transfer easier from Columbus State than they do from WSU. I think he is very right in this assessment. Columbus State and OSU have been working collaborately making the transition to the two universities seamless.FatHobbit;1105628 wrote:So not all of your classes transferred?
