I am probably wrong, but I don't think ALL T's are personal fouls.ytownfootball;1105284 wrote:I always thought it was, how else would it be acknowledged? Can't go out racking up six T's and a couple hand checks and still be in the game right?

I missed the T. What was it given for? Were there FT's shot by OSU?

I find it very hard to believe that this is Michigan's first Big Ten title since 1986. They have had some talent over the years. The Glen Rice team that won the National title in 89, The Five Fab, Tractor Traylor and company in the late 90s, etc.

Well, no. Because regardless of Personal Fouls, two Technicals is an ejection.ytownfootball;1105284 wrote:I always thought it was, how else would it be acknowledged? Can't go out racking up six T's and a couple hand checks and still be in the game right?
In HS they always are, I believe same in college. Only time they are not is for "Technicality Technicals". In other words, if a player has a wrong jersey on or calls a TO when they dont have one left, they are the 6th player on the court, etc. Im pretty sure those just become team Technicals. You can get 3 of those before the coach is ejected.wildcats20;1105292 wrote:I am probably wrong, but I don't think ALL T's are personal fouls.

I didnt see what Draymond did for the technical though.

I didn't see the T either, I just went through the play by play from ESPN and counting the T, he had 5 fouls.

In the NBA I don't think defensive 3 seconds counts against anyone either, though a team technical is assessed.

Well, last I checked, thats a Personal as well.ytownfootball;1105315 wrote:In game they said it was for language/unsportsmanlike
The only thing I can think of is they wrongly assessed a foul to Draymond on one of the others (not the book, but TV and the guy who relays the info to 3rd partys. Ive had to run stats at a BGSU game before and they updated the stats machine with the wrong player fouling. They didnt change it until that player got his 5th and stayed in...then they realized it was wrong before). That, or the idiot running the book is just wrong or a cheat.

Yeah the announcers have been bad this season (maybe I'm wrong I dunno) at letting the viewing audience know who the foul is on and for what reason imo. For example, I thought Sully had fouled out today when he got his 4th with 8 min. to go. They're more concerned with who is shooting and getting a replay up and sqwuaking about it, never remember it as bad as this season.

Maybe initially. But if they are wrong after the initial call its cause the scoreboard is wrong, or their stats monitor. They dont keep track of that shit themselves (obviously), so maybe at first. But if they harp on it later on, its probably a mix-up in communication with the bookkeeper and the stats keeper.ytownfootball;1105326 wrote:Yeah the announcers have been bad this season (maybe I'm wrong I dunno) at letting the viewing audience know who the foul is on and for what reason imo. Thad Matta must have talked to Bill Self before that Buford game winner. Was exactly how the Mario Chalmers play went down.

Buford's was a 2
Chalmers shot tied the game
Buford's shot won the game
Kansas dribbled the length of the court
OSU took it out at half court
Kansas guard tripped and lost the ball to Chalmers
OSU guard was under control and handed the ball to Buford
Other than that it was exactly like it.

Big Buford stepped up and took over..
Ravenel played MUCH bigger than Sully. We looked our best with him on the floor and Sully on the bench.
Sully needs to man the fuck up.

Sully has gotten into the habit of waiting on the double team, instead of getting the ball and going. He needs to get the ball and make a quick move.hoops23;1105384 wrote:Big Buford stepped up and took over..

Looking at the play by play, he got a personal called, then after said personal, he got a technical. I am thinking the bookkeeper/scorer marked the 2 down as 1, with the understanding that the personal WAS a technical.Laley23;1105320 wrote:Well, last I checked, thats a Personal as well.
