They've been close a few times. Vandy matches up well with them.ichsnjb;1112418 wrote:How did Vanderbilt beat Kentucky?

Take a look at FSU's nonconference resume.chicago510;1112410 wrote:FSU is a 3 seed IMO. Their resume is impressive.
Vandy might be a 4-5.

Non conference SOS of 35 and RPI of 47. They have terrible losses to Clemson and BC in conference but they have 2 wins over both UNC and Duke. I'd say that is pretty impressive.dave;1112424 wrote:Take a look at FSU's nonconference resume.

Understood, but they finished strong. Nobody has a flawless resume this year.dave;1112424 wrote:Take a look at FSU's nonconference resume.

Vanderbilt was a good team for UK to be "humbled" by today.
If anyone noticed, UK got zoned the last 6 minutes of that game and Lamb, Miller and Teague fired up brick after brick.
This has been the stigma used against UK being a title favorite. It showed up today. They couldn't hit shots and lost.
They will have to disprove everyone with that going forward.

I think a loss is good for a young team like Kentucky that probably was starting to think they were invincible.

I think a young team has to feel invincible--jmo.

Jay Williams picks Duke "by far" as the first 1-2 seed to lose first. Katz and Gottlieb agree.
A little surprised Jay would go that way though. At least with that much conviction.
