Peyton aint going outdoors in Denver to play. He needs a warm weather team like Ariz or Miami.

Schefter:
Skyhook may jump off a bridge if this happens. Presumably they would trade Tebow. He isn't going to do them or himself any good as a backup. Yikes. One source who spoke with Manning prior to his visit with the Cardinals said "his gut is that Manning is leaning toward Denver."

Tebow would be an ideal fit in JAX with MJD. Since they don't throw the ball anyhow he'd fit in perfectly running a spread option.IggyPride00;1112205 wrote:Mortensen and Schefter are reporting that Denver is in the lead for the Manning sweepstakes right now.
Were that to happen PFT is reporting that Shad Kahn in Jacksonville would do any and everything to trade for Tebow.

So? Carolina took Cam even though they had Jimmy Crack Corn...Gabbert, like Colt McCoy, is a bottom feeder QB in the league. Tebow would be a) an upgrade and b) would help fill up seats.robj55;1112385 wrote:JAX just drafted Gabbert though

You really think Tebow is an upgrade over Gabbert? Based on what?BR1986FB;1112392 wrote:So? Carolina took Cam even though they had Jimmy Crack Corn...Gabbert, like Colt McCoy, is a bottom feeder QB in the league. Tebow would be a) an upgrade and b) would help fill up seats.

Gabbert had a higher completion percentage as a rookie than Tebow had in his second year, while throwing for more yards. To say they aren't comparable is silly.BR1986FB;1112498 wrote:Not compared to Gabbert

How many QB's have taken over a team at a 1-4 start and not only win your Division but also win a Playoff game?hoops23;1112829 wrote:They both suck.

Just mentioning the bottom feeder QB's in the league. Whether you want to think I'm going out of my way to bash him, or not, he IS one of the bottom feeder/ranked QB's in the NFL lumped in with the likes of Gabbert, Painter, etc.SportsAndLady;1113459 wrote:Do you get off to bashing McCoy?

That is not fair. McCoy doesn't have any weapons. Give him weapons and he will be a Pro bowler and the Browns will be in the Super Bowl.BR1986FB;1113537 wrote:Just mentioning the bottom feeder QB's in the league. also, you give mccoy weapons and a decent line, and we will win. No doubt about it.

WAY too bold. You DON'T know that. PLENTY of doubt.

you posted that record of 3-10 in one posession games. That's with his first year starting, with no off season, in an offense with no vision and no weapons. I like McCoy with weapons, with our defense backing him.BR1986FB;1113642 wrote:WAY too bold. You DON'T know that. PLENTY of doubt.

You can't say "no doubt about it" though like it's a lock. Just like I could very well be wrong and McCoy could blossom (highly doubtful). They could surround him with weapons and he could remain a "checkdown machine" because he remains afraid to make a mistake.DeyDurkie5;1113649 wrote:you posted that record of 3-10 in one posession games. I also think he was a MAJOR cause for that 3-10 record and I think a better QB would've had them closer to 6-7 or 7-6 in those games, if not more.
