Yet yesterday Ryan wouldn't even call him a QB. He called him a football player...

Elway wanted Luck but had to spend 19 million a year to ditch Tebow. Ryan likes Sanchez. He will get fired for it. Tebow just needs to get to a team with a coach who is good and he can be a winner just like Alex Smith. If you don't think so, ask Meyer.
You're talking out of your ass....like usual. Smith and Meyer have nothing to do with this conversation.

I remember you saying something along the lines that Tebow will "out work" who ever he needs to so he can get his shot on the field. How is that working out?

Like I said, its obvious, he's not doing anything behind the scenes to warrant a shot.

Also, what coach "that knows how to win" do you think will take a chance with him? Unless their goal is to sell Tebow jerseys I doubt you'll find any. When the this disaster is over in NY I doubt many teams will be scratching and clawing to take him in.

Midstate01;1321008 wrote:Here's the problem. Tebow is a running QB. He has no deep ball and is inaccurate from 10-20 yards. So if you make him your QB. You have to change a lot of things. Your coordinator has to change the playbook, you have to find recovers that aren't very good, because good ones sure as hell won't be running to that team to catch balls from tebow. You have to change your offensive lineman, to smaller more athletic ones. You're looking at spending years to do it, by that time you'll have seen tebow isn't worth it and have thrown away years for nothing.

Players in Denver were good teammates, they supported him while he was there. As soon as he left they were able to talk. They didn't want him there.
Ny players are idiots and should either not talk or put their name on it, but they're the players who see him every single day. It's obvious they think he's terrible. And they are better judges of talent then we will ever be.

Time to move on SOS. You're lover will never make it.
Bingo! People are quick to forget that Denver damn near changed their entire offensive scheme to adapt to his strengths and weaknesses. I'm sure you have tons of NFL coaches who are just chomping at the bit to adapt their O to an unconventional, inaccurate QB.

But he played well 1 quarter a game and got the win because their defense kept them in games!

Coaches and players get paid to win, not make friends.

Bingo? You just proved him wrong. Midstate said it would take years to change things. It took no time at all to start winning with Tebow in Denver. ROTFLMFAO

Why did they dump him then if they were winning?

Yeah, my comment went way over SoS's head. They made it work for the time being because they had no choice, but it was obvious towards the end of the season opposing teams were catching on. Past, present, or in the future, that system will never have sustained success in the NFL. It's pretty much fact.

Not to hard to defend against a guy who's two plays consist of a delayed run or run after he can't hit his 1 read.

Yeah. When you consider the big Tebow trade rumor this year was to Jacksonville, it's safe to say the only teams interested in actually playing him to any notable degree probably are those with the combination of (a) horrid QB play and (b) a dire need of attracting some sort of fan support.

Yes. Poor timmy. Ha.

When he plays, he wins. Not his fault his new coach wants to be 3-6.

Meyer and Smith have nothing to do this topic. However, Smith was considered one of the worst QBs until Harbaugh came in. Even now, he's still mainly a game manager. I would say Harbaugh's coaching has really helped Smith.

It also helps Smith that he has probably the best if not top 3 defense and probably a top 3-5 overall run game in the league.

It also helps that he's lightyears better than Tebow in regards to throwing a football.

This. You're not relying on Alex Smith to win you games over and over.

Boomer Esiason was on the radio this morning and he quoted Woody Johnson as saying "I didn't bring in Tebow to sell T-shirts and PSL's...I brought him in to win football games." Esiason's response was "no, Woody...if you brought him in to win football games, he'd be playing." I laughed and thought of this thread.

Hartline made a crack block then laid on his back arms and legs spread eagle. It looked like he was knocked out. Apparently he wasn't. They even showed a replay of one of the offensive linemen slowing down pointing at him. None of the announcers said a word.

All I'm going to say about this topic because it is soooo horribly played out is this. Sanchez last 16 starts has 25 tds and 25 turnovers, 6YPA, and the Jets are 6-10. In Tebows ONLY 16 career starts he has 26 tds 15 turnovers and, 7.1YPA, and a 9-7 record.

He can't run a pro style offense. He takes too long to throw to take snaps from under center. He can't check down to his 2nd and 3rd reads either. He's a great athlete, put him at FB of TE.
