I like reading here but with all the attacks people receive if they spell something wrong or dont use proper punctuation is ridiculous. God forbid i dont agree with one of the bigger name posters I will be attacked like a rabid dog. Its called practicing what you preach. If your gonna do things different then do them different. If this is the case should be some mention of the attacks in this thread alone. The rules here are not that far from the huddle I mean you have rules they dont, they have rules you dont, but they all pretty much stand for the same thing. The difference is, since JJ is still on the payroll, every rule that used to be on their old 30-35 rule list still operates as an unwritten one in his mind (and the mods that "align" with him). If that is the case shouldnt the rules apply to everyone? Not just to someone everyone dislikes or someone that has under a certain post count? We may be more aggressively enforcing one rule as of late (personal attack, namely), but it just seems like a big change because we were admittedly REALLY lax on enforcing what we had on the books for a long time, and people started to take advantage.

I agree...in an ideal world. But the fact is that we were getting a ton of complaints about a few posters. They were completely derailing threads and people were getting sick of trying to sift through the garbage.
