I'm a big NHL guy, but 3 NHL vets died this offseason so I don't know how much water that argument holds.

Also, I doubt many women are turning down NBA players on the regular for NHL enforcers.

Maybe in Canada that'll work. But here in the US I'm betting NBA players have better notoriety and luck with the ladies than NHL players. Look at the guy who married Kim Kardashian. He's not a popular or great NBA player by any means and still pulls a big name like that. Granted it's just an anecdote, but I bet it holds true for the most part.

I think NHL players can play longer because their knees stay healthier. They are skating, and for the most part, wont put as much stress on the knees with cuts/stops/etc. Not that the knee isnt used, but its not the same as NBA or NFL.

NFL

New practice rules make practice way too easy.
Short season...
Most popular sport in the country
Quickest to pension
Most likely to be involved with community service

Nfl doesn't have true bench warmers. Every one on the roster gets used

I feel like backup linemen don't get used, backup qbs. The rest get used on STs. No?

And backup linemen sometimes get thrown on KOR team and FG/PAT

I see a lot of "DNP" on the stat sheet for football games. If anything the NBA and NHL doesn't have a true "benchwarmer' spot.
