I haven't been down there since November, but other than Holy Grail there is a new Toby Keith bar, Johnny Rockets, maybe 1 other place with food. There is nothing wrong with the Machine Room but you are already going to be in the park 3+ hrs so that's why I prefer to go somewhere else before. I've heard the Toby Keith place is really fun, here's the link http://countrybaroh.com/

There is also the Lager House which is really cool but kind of expensive. We dropped $60 on 4 beers and 2 sandwiches.

VOtta has gotten alot better defensively, no doubt. I am not worried about his defense in 10 years. Unless he totallly lets himself go and doesnt work at it he can still be a good fielder at 38. May lose a little range but what he would lose there I think he would gain in experience in being in the right spot at the right time.

And by then he should be able to pick bad throws in his sleep

I have 2 boxes of Votto's in my dining room. Who is #12 and what dumbass would ruin a box by getting another autograph on it like that?

I thought for sure he was going at some point in the next season and a half.

12 years and $251 million (the 10 year extension plus the 2 years left on this deal) is the kind of money only the Yankees have ever thrown around. I didn't think any small market could extend themselves like that, so it is an impressive commitment to say the least.

I think even most Reds fans (much less jaded Tribe fans) would be hard pressed to say with a straight face they saw the team ponying up a quarter of a billion dollars to keep Votto over the next 12 years.

No you do it, you're the one making the claim. I'd be curious to see who said this, because I think you're full of shit. You make the claim, you back it up. That's how it works turdo. Hope this helps.

Didn't know Miami played tonight. That's a huge advantage for the Reds this series.

Votto gets base salaries of $9.5 million this year and $17 million in 2013 under his previous agreement. The new deal includes salaries of $12 million in 2014, $14 million in 2015, $20 million in 2016, $22 million in 2017 and $25 million in each of the following six seasons. The Reds have a $20 million option for 2024 with a $7 million buyout.
