a microdiscectomy or microdecompression spine surgery, a small portion of the bone over the nerve root and/or disc material from under the nerve root is removed to relieve neural impingement and provide more room for the nerve to heal.A microdiscectomy is typically performed for a herniated lumbar disc and is actually more effective for treating leg pain (also known as radiculopathy) than lower back pain

It's just fucking sad now... Dude is having surgeries/getting injured before he even steps foot on a field.

So glad we spent $5 mill on him.

When Dolan's the owner, you take every penny you can get off of the cheap prick regardless of if you earn it or not.

Younger fans don't understand what that period meant. Die hard baby boomer tribe fans had seen 33 years of horse $hit baseball. And then....new park....and a whole pile of young baseball stars that came up together. The 95 team was mesmerizingly good. They pounded people all yeaer long. they had it all...and they were 10 games better than the Braves in the regular season.

After that year, MLB no longer permitted umpires to have "their own strike zone". They saw how that crap ruined the World Series that year.

4 were unearned. I liked that they said his velocity was 94-96 for his first start of the spring. He was more like 91-94 last year.

I think ubaldo will be fine. His velocity is there and his stuff in crazy good. He just needs to be able to control it

Loving that little RED "L" in the signature. Ironic color choice, lol.

Heres to hoping you reach 40 and lose to UNC for the title. Keeps you from #8, and would likely win me my pool.

Haha, I'm surprisingly not mad about that loss at all. It helped increase our focus, brought back the rivalry for years to come, and was pretty damn exciting in general. A red L after the 35, though, would be devastating.

It did indeed. Not the thread for the discussion. So this is my last comment. Only team I think can beat UK is UNC. I would pay money for that to be a rematch in the title game.

Any reports from AZ? With college hoops in full swing...I don't pay much attention to Spring Training.

Last I knew Duncan was hot with the stick. Ubaldo had some better velocity. Anybody else hitting the ball? How has JM looked? Pestano said on Twitter he has 'found the plate' but is still trying to remember how to put hitters away. Good to hear out of your closer.

Indians have been pretty painful to watch thus far. Brantley is having a nice spring, and Choo is starting to come around. Several young players are showing promise, but our starting pitching has been atrocious. Gomez has looked the best, while Masterson, Huff, Lowe, Ubaldo, and Tomlin have all been ugly at best. We definitely have the pieces to compete for the next few years, but the confidence level needs a boost.

Yeah, I've been checking the box scores. And the starting pitchers have been tuuuuurible. Hoping they are working on pitches and not worried too much about getting guys out...or we're in trouble.

Indians win today 3-1, Jimenez 3 innings and let up 1 run. They play Texas tomorrow and will go up against Yu Darvish, Tomlin will start for the Tribe

There are reports that the Indians have restructured Hernandez's deal reducing his salary this year and removing an option. Nothing has been confirmed by the Indians yet.

^^^That report was confirmed in the paper this morning. They also stated that Carmona...err.... Hernandez would be put immediately into the rotation when/should he become available. Depending on the point in the season he may require some remedial work, and it is okay to do it in the minors if necessary, even though he is officially out of options.

Masterson went 4 hitless innings yesterday with a walk and 4 Ks. Duncan went deep again...3 HR and 10 RBI now.

Jose Lopez is currently hitting .529 w/ 2 bombs early this spring. Intriguing candidate to make the big league club. Lopez, still just 28, had some very good season in Seattle before being terrible the last 3 years. I'll be interested to see if he makes the trip North out of spring.

Yeah, agree on Lopez. And he's been playing 1st base as well.
