Red Sox move above .500 for the first time this season with a win over Verlander and the Tigers last night. Gotta hope (as a Sawks fan) that they can keep it together/keep it at least hovering at .500 until the all-star break, when Ellsbury, Crawford and Bailey should be coming back (not to mention Pedroia in about a month).

Wouldn't expect that from Seattle. Would expect it from Texas.

Was pretty excited to see Beachy/Strasburg on Friday. Braves aren't skipping Minor's spot in the rotation now so I get Minor/Strasburg. Fuck

i'm pretty sure it normally takes the Mariner's 30 games to score 21 runs. Their offense has been a lot better than in recent years. Still struggle for consistency though.

I would like Sports Science to jump on that one and tell me how hard that ball hit the scoreboard 430 feet away. I say if he gets some elevation to that shot it sails over 500 feet.

Got my wish....Sports Science in BBTN doing this HR right now.

Bat speed 85 mph

Ball speed off bat 122.4 mph

.....Damnit didn't say how hard it hit the scoreboard 463 feet away!

How long did it take to hit it. Im sure there is a pretty basic equation to figure that out.

They didn't say....but did say the average HR was about 103 mph off the bat.

Said if he had swung .003 earlier it would've went foul.
