Nats are shutting down Straburg for the rest of the year.

H
e did get roughed up, but still. He is much better than their 4th pitcher.

And the rest of the NL just said thank you.
The Nats are a solid team, but no way they win the pennant now. Reds are now the favorite.

Ehh I dk about that. I have watched a lot of nats games this year and although Strasburg is very good, Zimmerman and Gonzalez are having just as good of years. They will be alright.

Yeah, I think they will be good, but it's that lack of a third starter that will get them. In a long series, I think that will come back to hurt the Nats.
I think they can make the NLCS with some breaks, but I doubt they can beat the Red legs, or even the Braves.

Detwiler has been pretty good lately except today. And Edwin Jackson hasn't been bad. What's going to hurt them is the inexperience. I think next year they win it all

Frenchy has been offensively bad.....but his throw from deep RF to 3rd to get Alexei Ramirez going from 1st-3rd, no one else can do that.

That's why I laughed when every one said they were going to run away with the division. They have no pitching outside of verlander. And the chances were he wasn't going to repeat last years performance. Also key guys had career years last year like peralta.

They are not doing as well as I figured. But I did expect them to win the division by 10+. I just thought the White Sox would be 3rd place, lol.

Nats won last night, Braves lose, knock their Magic Number down to 13.
Yeah, the Phillies being in the hunt for that second spot is nuts. I doubt they get it, as there are just too many decent teams to jump.

Has anyone really looked at the Postseason schedule? It could be a mess. Listening to Mike and Mike on the way into work, and they mentioned the Jason Stark article. A little long, but good. Pretty much, if we have any ties for Wild Cards, it could be a logistical nightmare.

Philli wins again also and are 3 games out of the wild card. If the Phillis make the playoffs I could honestly see them winning it all. There pitching has been damn good the 2nd half of the season. There a dangerous team with halladay lee and hamels
