It's simple. The easier you throw, the less stress on the arm. There's physically no way you can pitch that many innings/games throwing more than 60 MPH and not throw out your arm. Walter Johnson's fastball was clocked, I read, somewhere between 95-98 and that was his fastest, he probably averaged around 80. Yeah like I said they couldn't have thrown hard. When I pitched in summer league/high school I didn't get much velocity, topping out at 68 MPH (so I probably threw between 58-63 most fastballs and relied on my control/offspeed) but I could pitch damn near every day. If you are commenting on the lack of an S, with my RBI than I will just tell you I have always thought and will always consider RBI to be a singular entity. You can get 6 of them. So you have 6, RBI.
