I meant that if they were trying to make the realism of the missions the most important part of their film then perhaps they should just have made a documentary about the SEALS. I imagine that wouldn't sell as well though as "AN ACTION MOVIE STARING REAL NAVY SEALS!!!!!!!!!"

Hit the nail on the head. Whole movie comes off as a marketing ploy to me. Its funny, my co worker thought the trailer was amazing and looks at me goes "Awesome Right?"

I tell him looked like one of those marine recruiting commercials to me. He couldn't believe it.

Apparently you "smarter and better than everyone else's" have never seen how great the acting was by real actors in the last hollywood movie about SEALs. Im pretty sure the real ones did a better job than Emilio

Just got done watching it. Thought it was awesome. Did anyone else have people leave at the end of the movie during the middle of the list that had all the SEALS that had died? We had a few, thought it was really disrespectful.

Why is that disrespectful? If I was at Arlington for a Military funeral procession and left a few minutes early, that I'd consider disrespectful.

Not so sure about being disrespectful leaving an action movie.

I think you should stay for sure. BUT, some people probably had no idea what was even being shown.

This is stupid. It's an action movie that a giant corporation is making millions off of. If you're offended by people leaving during the credits and aren't just as offended by the existence of this movie I don't know what to tell you.

Leaving during credits of film = really disrespectful
Exploiting SEALS reputation for profit= awesome

Funny someone mentions how it looked like a recruiting video in the trailers. What I had read was that this started in like 07 with a recruiting video

Years ago there was a navy commercial...most of which was showing SEALs. at the end they panned to a guy standing in a car dealership and the voice over said...."and some poor guy is stuck buying a minivan!"

I went and saw this yesterday.

I'd give it a B-

Movie was actually good. Acting wasn't as bad as I thought from reading comments. You could tell during some of the exchanges that they weren't actors, but the action was still good. It's not a mindless action film like The Expendables or some other shit was... It had a decent plot that could have been executed a bit better, but wasn't bad by any stretch.

There were a few females crying at the end of it because of how the movie ended... Also, the list of KIA SEALs wasn't very long at all, took maybe 15-20 seconds to scroll through them all.

This movie definitely had a plot. Not sure where that came from. It was east to follow and stright forward as well. I actually thought the plot was really good actually.

The acting was, frankly horrendous. But there was about 5 minutes of acting in the whole movie, so who cares? It was 90% action, and the action was pretty awesome imo. I think that it would have been better if they didnt do the sentimental stuff during the final chase/invasion. The slow down for some of the people being shot was dumb and ruined the "realism" of the movie.

I would give it a solid B though. Entertianing for sure. It is pretty much non-stop action. Mission to mission (4 or 5 in total).

Saw this twice in the theatre. First time I ever went and saw a movie more than once. Friends were seeing it so I went even though I saw it already. I thought the second time around was better than the first to be honest with ya. I listened and understood more the narrative in the beginning and how they were setting up the movie at the beginning. The first time it seemed a little choppy but the second time it seemed to flow alot better.

I would given it 4* the first time, and the second time I would say 4.5 stars.

You didn't understand the narrative the first time? Does your wife keep your brain as well?

If you would read the post I said I listened and understood MORE of the narrative the second time around.

Work on your reading comprehension skills amigo.
