5700 back. Most of that is a 3000 credit for buying a qualifying vehicle (my new truck). 925 for having another dependent.

I owed $40 federally and got $28 back from the state. I'm a high roller.

I had something like that last year on the Federal level but I made a small enough amount where I wasn't legally required to file so I didn't. Looked at it and was all "so if I file this shit I owe you $70 but I don't have to...let me think about that".Mulva;1089224 wrote:I owed $40 federally and got $28 back from the state. My federal payment last year was $19. I was not mad. Hopefully it is $1 this year.LJ;1089277 wrote:Netting a payment of $12 is pretty ****ing win

You guys have a system that gets you that close? Or just use your tax rate times salary divided by pay periods? I can't get mine that close. The best I did was owing 47 dollars to Oklahoma like 7 years ago.

True. But I was a student and only worked for 8 months of the year, and even then it was part time at near min wage. I didn't gross $7k for the year I don't think.LJ;1089277 wrote:Netting a payment of $12 is pretty fucking win
