Unless it is the first time you have ever received a bonus, you should have realized the error as soon as you looked at it.

Bonus's are taxed to hell, typically you would only see about 60% of a bonus after taxes (at best).

If you don't have any dependents, property, single, etc. its the best way to go. I'm not sure how much it would cost for a professional to do, but I'm sure its more than TT.

S&L I would suggest running your info on TT and H&R Blocks online system just to check for sure.
We had a fairly difficult return last year but I did it on either TT or HRBlock's website. It said we owed the $4k. My wife decided that I must have done something wrong so I redid it. Same number. She then decided that we should go to HRBlock and have someone do our taxes for us. So we paid them ~$300 to tell us we owed...$4k. Awesome.

Which TurboTax edition if you are an independant contractor? Ive never used it, but as far as I know the free edition and basic edition only work for a return/refund.

Since I dont have taxes taken out, I always gotta figure out what I owe, and its a pain.

That explains the weight gain. Depression of having to move back in with the folks would do it.

I used to go to HRBlock and will never do it again. TT gets me just as much back (I hope this year, it will be close, might owe something) and I pay what, $35 for TT tops instead of $300 to go to HRBlock.

Yeah, we'll never go back. My wife is now confident that I know what I'm doing so I can do them from now on. We had always done it ourselves in previous years but we had a few extra forms and a lot of deductions last year so she wanted to be safe, I guess.

The picture you saw me in was when I was in NJ, working at my job lol idiot

I gained a whopping 4 pounds since I moved out to NJ, so I don't really know what you're talking about lol

I blame the 4 pounds on delicious NJ food

You would think with all the fap, fap, faping you claim to do the weight gain would be offset.

My dad's tax guy did mine for me..and he said this guy is really good; but it just seemed so low for me, I mean it was under 50% of what they took out while I was there.
Did you get taxes deducted out of the commissions? If not, that could be why you feel your return is low, you owed money on the commissions. I am not close to a tax expert though. Hope this helps.

This is what I’m going to do.

I’m going to delay coming up with a plan or filing my taxes for the next 1000 days. Then I’m going to submit a plan that will take 10 years to pay off my taxes in the mean time I’m going to spend more so I have less to pay in the next 10 years . </SPAN>
Bullshit alert! It'd be cool if you did though. Let us know how that goes if you have the balls to do it.

Hmm, then it is just another case of the government fucking you once again. I am hoping just to break even, but I am guessing I'll owe a bit this year. I almost was perfect last year. Owed the federal $19 and got less than $200 back from the state. If I could make it 0, it'd be perfect.

Also check deductibles. If you have more then one, they are taking out less of each check so come tax time you'll get less back.

I'm curious what we get/owe. Got like 1800 last year. I didn't change anything, but we had another kid and tons of medical expenses for his surgery so we might get a lot more back. Which sucks.

I get $363 back total! I'm excited because I don't think I've ever gotten that much. I only work in summer and winter so it's badass.

We get a whopping $193. Of course, I filed exempt for 4 months last year.

Quarterly estimated payments crew?

I just adjust my final quarterly payment to make sure my balance is $0.

Except when the IRS was too stupid to figure out that my tax preparer accidently put my estimated payments amount on the "withheld" line rather than the "estimated payments" line. That then doubled my "account" with the IRS, causing them to send me a refund in the total amount that I had paid in. Then rejected the amount when I sent it back FIVE FUCKING TIMES. Then they decided, after finally understanding what happened, that I owed late fees and interest.

Fucking morons.
