Throw Moore out--because we already know he won't get any respect since he plays at Boise.

Throw Keenum out, he'll be labelled as a system guy whether anyone likes it or not.

Noel Devine has done nothing to warrant even being in the discussion right now--neither has Pryor.

No way you can't have Ingram number 1, at least preseason.

IMO: 1. Ingram, 2. Jacory Harris...after that, they'll have to play their way into it. Those are the only guys going in AS OF NOW that have played their way into this discussion IMO. Of course we could see someone make a real name for themselves and get some momentum during a bowl game. Masoli MAYBE warrants preseason consideration. But I hate the preseason lists because the guys on it have an advantage from the start--people pay more attention to them. Let the season play out and see who makes their claim first--for all we know Ingram might lay an egg next year and some guy no one has heard of yet from Syracuse might rush for 3,000 yards. And just for the record, I just threw Cuse out there--I don't actually think they have a player that is going to do anything special next year.

Im just making a guess I know Noel Devine hasn't done anything YET but I have a feeling next year he will have a big year(no I am not a wvu fan). Ingram will not win it again, that fresh back htey have (his name just isnt coming to me at the moment) will get alot more carries next year and not to mention I really just dont think we will ever see another 2 time winner. Ill give you keenum/pryor and trade one of them for Harris but at least 1 of them will be mentioned in there. Keenum was in the discussion for awhile until they started to lose a couple games

I think Keenum would have been deserving if he would have won it this year. I'm not arguing that he shouldn't be in the discussion, I think he should be. But we might as well throw the possibility out right now because we all know he won't win it--even if he gets an invite and clearly has the best stats. He will not win. He'll get labelled as a system guy and that will kill his cause--it's BS but that's how it works.

Then again, the offensive bias is BS too--Suh was without a doubt the best player in college this year. And just the fact that Tebow was even invited is stupid--especially when you consider that there was a better running back than the guy who won the award that didn't even get invited (CJ Spiller). The whole "best player on one of the best teams" is BS too. It's supposed to go to the best player--the best player doesn't always play on the best team.

Terrelle Pryor :D

I think if a receiver has a shot, Michael Floyd has as good of a shot as any right now.

How about a QB that led the SEC in yards per game, touchdowns, passing efficiency, and total offense?

:)

I was just going to throw out Ryan Mallett.

Other that I think will have big seasons next year are Matt Barkley and Bryce Brown.

If Fitzgerald didn't win it...Floyd won't either. Fitzgerald was the best reciever I have ever seen play college ball...

Pryor won't get any hype unless he goes for 300 total yards against Oregon. I say that knowing that it's possible. But unless Pryor plays well on the big stage, he'll have mediocre expectations heading into next year.

If Ingram has the same kind year and Alabama is undefeated or 1 loss and wins the SEC again, he will repeat in 2010.

Ingram

And then the rest of the players will need to have some big performances in the bowl games to get some hype going for next season. These guys include Harris, Pryor, Masoli, Mallet etc.

If these guys have great games and lead their teams to W's then it could help their preseason cause next season.

I disagree somewhat that they will need big bowl games to get some hype generated for next year.

How much hype did Ingram, Gerhart and Suh have coming into this year? If someone steps up next year and plays well and has the stats, they can win it.

But the reason I think Pryor needs to play well in the bowl game is because people are still down on the Big 10, and although I don't even think he's worthy of being in the same sentance as Heisman, if he does put up big numbers, voters won't be as impressed because of the perception of the Big 10.

I agree that Pryor can get a jump start with a big game against Oregon.

Won't happen.

They don't get enough carries per game to put up huge numbers. Ingram had 100+ more carries than any OSU rusher.

Hard to tell because bowl games, the draft, and preseason expectations will play a factor. Right now I'll go with Ingram, Moore, Keenum, Lewis, and Clay.
