After watching him recently I think if he stays healthy he wins two majors this year and returns to dominating the PGA tour.

His last two events he finished tied for 3rd and won. I would say that's far from done.

I don't think he wins a major this season. I think he has two top-5 finishes and strongly contends, but doesn't win. I see him winning two regular Tour events. My guesses would be The Memorial and his tournament in DC (which is back at Congressional this year).

Agree that the Memorial is a good place for him to win, I could see him in a few other locales as well. A major would be a big achievement giving his age, injury status and other issues. Two would be almost a miracle given that it was difficult to win two when he was in his prime.

Augusta fits his game and he is a threat there anytime he tees it up.

I don't think winning at Tiger's "Age" is really an achievement. His current age is the prime age for a golfer's major-winning potential historically. With the injuries it changes things, but 36 is just a youngen for golfers.

This. He just happened to dominate the sport earlier in his career than most.

I think he gets 1, maybe 2 this year. If he wins Augusta, which is very possible, I think he will get another one. If he doesn't win Augusta, I think he still gets one.

I agree with this.

His swing is back, he's healthy, and his troubles are pretty much behind him. He shot -5 yesterday at Pebble Beach. Curious to see how he does today. If he stays on the leader board, it will be a good sign.

-4 and it was at the harder of the 3 courses that are used.

Outside of Augusta, he has no track record of success at any of the other major courses. In fact, the other 3 are kind of a wild card this year.

The U.S open at Olympic club was won by Lee Janzen last time it was played there in 98.

The Open championship was last won by Duval in 2001.

The Ocean Course at Kiawah (which I have played and it is amazing) has never hosted a major and only had the Ryder Cup in 91.

So these venues are not in the normal rotations, so it should be interesting to see how he outside of Augusta none of these are ones he has dominated in the past where you make him an immediate favorite.

His best chance is at Augusta. Had a chance there last year. He is a different golfer in majors. Augusta fits his game. Wouldn't be surprised to see him take the British Open as well.

Ehh I don't know about dominating. During the last few years that he's been out the field has gotten very strong. Luke Donald and Adam Scott are on absolute fire and really playing at the level many expected of them, McIlroy is basically the heir apparent to Tiger and already has that major under his belt and then there's people like Day, Dustin Johnson, Schwartzel and Kaymer who are basically in the hunt during every big tournament. It's not just Phil out there anymore

Very true. Right now is probably as deep as the game of golf has ever been. There are loads of just brilliant players out there. The biggest problems for Tiger right now is working out the putting issues. Right now at the At&t he is 6th in driving accuracy (!) and 20th in driving distance. He is also in the top 10 in GIR. But putting stats are all outside of the top 60. If that comes around, he will start winning again. But putting is finicky, we will see.

Tiger is making a little run today. 5 birdied in 6 holes puts him in 2nd after his front nine.
