Good job Zeller, letting a player who was hot scoring 29 points have an open 3. The tipped shot and the 4 step shot, wow. Thats gotta sting to lose that way at home.

Inexcusable for Carolina to blow that lead. Missed free throws, and just stupidity beat them in the end.

That's probably the most devastating defeat I have ever experienced as a Carolina fan. No business losing that game.

Oh, and Austin Rivers. Fuck you!!!!!!!

Fun game to watch. duke is what duke is:a 3 point shooting team. If they hit him they can beat anybody. If they don't , they can lose to Temple.37 three's taken.
And Dukie V saying its ok because he made it count(4 stepper, I also saw the 3 stepper). WTF? GTFOH BAAAAABY!

He also said the refs missed a call on a flop by Kelly. I love his passion but I wish(and have for a long time) that he would get Coach K's dick out of his mouth.

Yeah, an air ball gets freakin tipped in and then Zeller decides to just let Rivers shoot a deep three. WTF?

The refs handed the dukies another one. When will it end??

duke basketball was epitomized by the two on one they ran. Most teams try to attack the basket in a two on one situation. Not the dukies. Curry flared out for 3.

Waiting for Rec's post regarding how great Duke is and some story that no one cares about. Pretty pathetic for a Duke basketball only fan. Aka Bandwagon.

Lol....82-72 with 2:10 left and I went and took a shower and shave of the face and come out and see Duke wins 85-84

Thank you DVR rewind.

Up 10 at home with 2:10 left and some are blaming the refs. Lol

Make a free throw....rebound the horrible shot.....don't let the hottest guy shoot while your 7'0 wingspan is 6 feet away.

Sorry 02....at least your team will clear the sweet 16 in the tourney.

Seth Curry took 4 steps on a HUGE 3. Yeah, the refs had A LOT to do with the outcome.

Miracle minute vs Maryland was better in my eyes. But I do understand why people might say this game because it was UNC.

As a college basketball fan, the Dook comeback at Maryland is one of(if not the greatest) comebacks of ALL time.

Yes, he traveled.....what about the other 8 points?

Carolina shit themselves and Duke hit some shots....just man up to it. Every team does it at some point and it rarely happens to a team twice in a season.....so likely no more for your boys.

Has a team ever shot more 3's than 2's and won the game?? duke shot 36-3's and 26-2's and won the game.

Maybe that is the way to go. Orlando shot 42 3's tonight and defeated the Heat.

I actually think I stopped breathing for four full minutes. OMG. Aside from watching Duke beat Butler live in Indy for the national championship, tonight's game against Carolina was without question the greatest single basketball memory of my lifetime and it will never be surpassed. Ryan Kelly could make a full court dunk to beat the Heels in Cameron and I'm not sure I would even care. It all happened tonight in Chapel Hill.

Austin Rivers. You are a monster. Twenty-nine points, six-of-ten threes and five boards. A night for the ages. You have moxie, son. I just saved a screen shot of ESPN's college basketball home page, which has Austin "Subzero" Rivers standing gloriously into a sea of teal, and I saved it "God."

:) :) :) :)

This looked a great deal like the first matchup in 2006 when Duke rained in the triples and Greg Paulus hit a few huge threes to get the W.

This team and that 2006 aren't all that different. This team has a go to player though, 2006 had Josh McRoberts. Ugh.

This loss probably just ended Carolina's season.

They've been wildy inconsistent, but just as they seem to be starting to peak, this happens. I know that I feel sick right now. I can't even imagine how the players and staff feel. I hope that Carolina can somehow use this as motivation, but I just don't know. I have a bad feeling that they're gonna go in the tank. I guess we'll know at about 1:00PM on Saturday against UVa.

I still just can't believe how many stupid mistakes were made to blow that lead. And I'll never know what Zeller was thinking. Clearly he's gonna take the three. If he blows by you for a two, then whatever, but under no circumstances should be be allowed to get off a clear look at a shot to beat you. Once Zeller missed his FT, I knew Duke would nail a three. I figured it would at least be contested, but apparently Tyler Zeller didn't get the memo.

Final two minutes in first half for Duke was mirrored by the Heels in the final two minutes.

No fg's attempted, two turnovers, and missed free throws.

With all due respect, I don't want them to be a Top 6 team. This team was supposed to be THE team. A loss to UNLV, tough loss on the home floor of UK, a 33 point blow out at FSU, and this catastrophe later, they're not even close.

Obviously injuries to Strickland and McDonald have hurt, but even with that, this team is way too talented to pull this bullshit. Apparently they're never going to have the mental focus to play 40 damn minutes of basketball.

This was supposed to be the season for a run at another national championship. Believe me, I hope it still is, but I just don't see it happening. Not unless something changes right now, and after that punch to the gut, I'll be surprised if it does.

Chill out !!!! UNC is talented enough to reach the FF and then anything can happen. duke made more 3's than they normally do. Next time you play them they might be cold. All is not lost.In fact, this game doesn't really impact anything.
