...in the winter of course.

Sunday was my first day off after working 13 straight days. Slept in, make brunch for the fam, went for a run and did a few things outside to take advantage of the daylight and I come back in done with everything I needed and wanted to do for the day....and it was 12:35. I was BORED outta my mind the rest of the day and I began to wonder......how in the hell do people stay home all day and not get deathly bored?

I didnt know what to do with myself Sunday.

Nah, i wouldnt say it was that. I went out for my run and did things I enjoy, just that I guess Sunday was a dead day on sporting events I would like to follow. Only game i was interested in wasnt even a good matchup and wasnt utnil 6pm...thanks BTN! Too windy to get the bike out and hit the bike path, too early to get the glove out and go to the park and throw...wrong time of year to work on the lawn.....just a dead day i think.

Usually I dont get bored. Every month there is a stretch where I work 13 straight days, and on that first day off if I dont have something to do I get real antsy

Even if I didn't work full time, there wouldn't be enough time to do close to everything I'd like to do.

I stayed home with my daughter who was sick yesterday and I had completely forgotten how bad day time television is. I could only watch Sports Center so many times.

I like to drink beer and watch internet porn on my days off. Not sure if that surprises or helps anyone.

I'd have to have a lot more days off before the thought of boredom would enter my mind. Like unemployed for years.

I'd probably create a minor league forum website before I ever got bored if I was unemployed for years.

I get bored pretty quickly when I'm not working (which is part of why I can't fathom retiring and I don't like vacations). Our fiscal year ends today, and I hit my hours, so I decided not to go in . . . and now it's not even noon and I'm out of things to do. Annoying.

Ya know, over the years you seem like one of the few normal people on here who gives legit comments.
I know I am not the only one who gets that way when they are not at work and really dont have much to do around the house. I ALMOST said to my wife "How do you do this every day" in regards of not having to go in to work!

You should have said it. At least you wouldn't be bored anymore!

I tend to find myself spending alot of money on the weekends when I'm off, but I don't get bored. I won't call in sick unless I'm sick, and I won't take a vacation day without having something planned, because on those days I do get bored, and feel like I've wasted my sick/vacation time.

Hell, no.

For one thing, Lady D'Friskies and I just entered the "empty nest" stage of life, which we are enjoying a great deal.

If nothing else, I'm always in middle of a book, and I have a list of projects around the house that are waiting to be finished.

I may be bored on my days off if not out and about but I look at it more as relaxing instead of being bored. I can always find something to do, finding free time is harder.

He is an IU fan. Well, he left when Knight was fired :D, but hes back now.

As for the day off question. No, not really. My days off are filled with being a piece of shit and watching TV. If TV was not invented, than maybe I would get bored more often.

Wouldnt say I really left totally......my heart was always with the hoosiers and i had a slight affair with TT for a bit! I just think Sunday took me by surprise that I really had nothing to do and without the NFL there was a void!
