McGregor proved a lot of people wrong, he is so big for the division. His guard sucks though and he got countered all night, he can take it though. Aldo has the speed and ability to take advantage of it though.

Mendes losing makes Aldo and McGregor even bigger than before. I think UFC makes that card even bigger and better than this one.

Maybe it's part of UFC 200. I think Edgar beats McGregor easily. Aldo will probably beat him to and Mendes beats him with a full camp.

The previous question I had Lawler winning round 1 and 2 Rory winning 3 and 4. So whoever won round 5 which at the point of the KO was Lawler.

That was the first PPV I ever bought and it was worth every penny.

Judges had MacDonald up 2 rounds going into the 5th. If Lawler didn't KO him then Rory would be champ

I don't think anyone will beat McGregor easily. He's only going to get better and I don't think the short camp made a difference, especially with how accurate McGregor is with his strikes. Fighters from Alpha Male are pretty much in shape year round and Mendes was training anyways in case someone dropped out. The only thing it did was change his weight cut timeline.

Edgar has better movement than Mendes but he's tiny and I think McGregor would have a much easier time getting to his feat against him.

Mendes didn't lose because of the short camp. He lost because he ate some huge body shots and couldn't keep up with the pace on his feet because of that.

It shouldn't have, but seeing Ellenberger so washed up took away from the Wonderboy's performance for me.

Yeah the Mendes cardio/short camp thing would make more sense if he gassed in the 3 - 5 rounds. He was gassed early the first round, and that is either from adrenaline dump or Conor's body shots.

Feels like he's been the next big thing for about 6 years now, I've always been high on him. Hopefully he can finally make his stamp on the division, he's dealt with a ton of issues/illnesses.

Incredible KO, Duffee seemed to hurt Mir, got sloppy and paid dearly.

Fat and out of breath Frank Mir wings a perfect punch. Also, what the fuck was Duffee throwing when he walked into that? Lazy right hand and boom, catches one on the jaw.

That was as sloppy as a fight gets, both just winging and praying. I would have favored Duffee in that type of fight, but nope. Mir looked like he was totally out of shape, so it might have been his strategy to go for broke early because he knew was going to gas regardless.

Duffee has to work on being more patient and keeping his composure, he has so much talent but isn't going to beat any top guys if he can't relax in there and pick his shots. He needs to work on his defensive striking as well, he used that wild right hand to line up the left hand but he never brought back the right hand to block his face. Hopefully he can learn from this. Mir's boxing has improved so much.
