Awesome, guaranteed fireworks. Looks like Shogun vs Thiago Silva will be the co-main at 149 in Canada.

Yep, really good card top to bottom with some match ups that should be very exciting. 5 rounds of Nate Diaz, can't beat that.

I still can't stand the Diaz brothers actions in the cage, etc. However, this does put some of it into perspective.

Interesting that Dana said Diaz will get a title shot with a win. Miller is actually a decent favorite to win, and won't get a title shot. Just goes to show how much circumstance and marketing play into these things.

Also Rampage is keeping up the crazy insisting he wants to leave the UFC because they aren't giving him the right fights. Translation = I can't hack it against top guys anymore and want to cherry pick fights I can win.

Rampage put out a couple of tweets about Chael Sonnen. I take it Chael was talking shit about Rampage. I was hoping he tweeted something but it doesnt appear he uses Twitter that often. Ha

Subbing gomi, brutally beating cerrone, and IF he beats Miller who's 10-2 in the octagon, I'd say that's a damn good resume to me.

Rampage wanted Shogun - so that's wrong

Has anybody seen/heard about this?

During a low level MMA card a 21 year old fighter was getting ready for his fight, problem is, his opponent didn't show up.

A 53 year old audience member named Tim volunteers to fight because he's always wanted to participate in a fight. He's had no prior training to this decision. They take him to the back for 1 hour to give him some pointers and tips. Tim gets knocked down 30 seconds in, but two minutes later lived out his dream.

Agree with the last two but Gomi is a low teir LW these days.

Shogun (who is pretty slow these days) is a perfect match up for rampage, hence why he wanted him. That is the definintion of cherry picking your fights. He only wants guys who won't mix up their game plans on him. It's like a football team saying they only want to play other teams that run up the middle every time, because that's the manly way to play.

Shogun is one of the best guys in the division.

That's nice for that guy but they are both awful. Like, just really bad form all around. Stephan Bonnar is the one who was filming.

Of course they looked awful. The 53 year old had never trained before. The 21 year old was fighting in a low level MMA card and obviously lacked any real skill.

It's just a cool story.

Agreed, but I meant awful even for a low level amateur card on the younger guys part.

Hard to give Jim Miller a title shot when he just got abused by Ben Henderson recently and he has also lost to Frankie Edgar. Now if he were to come out and knock Nate Diaz out we may have another story.

Diaz deserves the shot if he wins. Picked apart Cerrone and dominated Gomi pretty good reason to deserve it.

As for my picks;

Diaz
Hendricks
Paul Harris
Barry

Also, there is a rumor that Anthony "Showtime" Pettis will fight the winner of Diaz/Miller

Diaz
Hendricks
Barry
Palhares

I'm pretty confused as to why Miller is more than a 2-1 favorite. I don't see this fight going in his favor personally.
