Me either but what a super fight that would be. Also, I was disappointed that Rashad didn't engage more last night, to win the title you have to bring it to the champ and try and take it to him. Seemed like after he got that elbow that wobbled him in the 2nd round last night he just coasted and tried to survive 5 rounds.

Evans showed ZERO heart. After falling behind and getting stunned w/ those 'bows it appeared he just accepted defeat.

Yeah I felt the same, all this talk about how he was gonna unleash his inner dog and what not. He gets down on the score cards and coasts to the finish line.

I've been reading a lot of people bitching about Jones on other forums. wtf was he supposed to do? Fight wild and get caught? Hell, he was trying superman punches in the 4th round. Like everyone else who watched, he knew he had it won early. Just keep connecting, hope for a KO or wait til the decision.

I was hoping for a better main event, but overall I thought it was a decent card.

I'm jumping on the Rory Macdonald bandwagon. He straight up punished Mills. He's gonna make noise in that division.

I enjoyed the card a lot and even enjoyed the main event, I just thought it could have been a little better had Rashad not folded up after the 2nd round. Rory has been a beast ever since he entered the UFC at 20 years old, he could be a future champ. He really needs a step up in competition though. Che Mills is a dangerous stand up fighter but not well rounded enough for someone like Rory. Scary how good he is at only 22 years old. Speaking of young studs, how about Michael Mcdonald knocking out one of the best bw's ever and a great fighter in Miguel Torres at only 21 years old.

Evans did seem to go into "don't get finished" mode after the second round which is disappointing as he wasn't doing all too badly up until then.

I hate that.

Hopefully they start hating each other ala Jones/Evans.

I am a fan of both guys. If Mir can get it to the ground with time left in a round he will submit JDS. If he can't get it to the ground JDS will KO him.

JDS showed great TD defense in the past even against wrestlers so I don't give Mir much of a chance.

Pretty sure if Jones wasn't a devout christian you'd agree.

I don't like his personality and nothing anyone says will make me change my mind - you seem to have the same stance on god so you'll understand.

I doubt in two years GSP is still a welterweight - I got the impression GSP would move to middleweight by the time Rory is ready to challenge for the belt.

If you're a fighter would you rather get a KO or Sub win? Personally i'd rather get the sub since you're getting the guy to say "i quit." I'd rather be able to say to a guy, "I made you tap" than "I knocked you out."

Why the attitude?

Actually, I'm one of the first to dislike those that don't seem "genuine" (read hypocritical) about faith. If I thought Jones was I would very much dislike his personality. Right now I like him as a fighter, there is no doubt he is one of, if not the best, in the world. I think right now Anderson and Aldo are the only 2 others that can make a claim to that (and I am a huge GSP fan, but right now he isn't on those 3's levels).

I just said that so far, I have yet to see the "cockiness".

But hey, if copping an attitude about my opinion makes you feel better, then by all means.

I agree with this. I wouldn't be surprised if GSP has only 1 or 2 more fights at WW, to "get the belt back" from Condit and beat up Nate Diaz, then he moves to MW.

Honestly thought you liked him because of that - I didn't try and find previous posts you made about him. Just saw one to IWP that said you may be biased.

I enjoy Jones fights because he brings it and can finish top tier guys, just don't like his pre-fight talk, rubs me the wrong way. Love Aldo for the same reason and lately been falling off the Silva bandwagon, i think he's losing a step.

Jones isn't the guy i'd like to see as champion so it's easy for me to want him to lose. Love his fights, just don't like listening to him outside the cage.

What's funny is, that even though I truly believe Anderson Silva is a better fighter than GSP. If they ever fought I believe GSP would beat him.

GSP is just too good a wrestler and has better sub defense than Sonnen. Silva couldn't stop GSP's TDs if he did nothing but TD defense for the next 2 years. Even though I'd be excited for that fight, it might not be all that exciting of a fight.

GSP likes to use his jab to set up the TD, i believe Silvas reach and his jab could keep GSP at enough for him to utilize his striking. While i think GSP could get him down, Anderson is a huge middleweight so it might be harder than you think. But i totally agree GSP would do all in his power to get the TD and grind out a win.

I think Silva would win. I don't think he would walk over GSP but I believe he would beat him.

I could just as easy see Rory moving up though. He is taller than GSP and very young so he frame is probably still filling out. He has also mentioned moving up a few times.

If i had to bet, at this point in their careers, GSP has to cut a LOT more weight than Rory. GSP is built, Rory is kind of skinny.

Yes, if Rory hit the weights since he is taller he could easily move to MW. I was just saying that in the near future I would think GSP would move up before Rory.

No one in the world can beat GSP if he has a couple months to prepare. Give him some film and he will beat you.

So what does everyone think about Bigfoot Silva and Cain? I wonder if Big Country is still fighting on the card.
