And If Sonnen has trouble with Bisping's striking...Silva is gonna tattoo him
Also, i'm excited for the Rashad v. Jones fight, might be the first time i don't care who gets knocked out since i'm not a fan of either guy.

Hard to knock someone out from your back, Anderson has to improve his TDD and wrestling, or it will be another long night.Hb31187;1070213 wrote:I think Jones is gonna stomp a mudhole in Evans ass anyways.

So far Fox might be rethinking this idea. The first free one on Fox lasted about 30 s and they showed no other fights. This one had 3 fights that all 3 were boring as snot.
If it was possible, I had the Sonnen/Bisping fight a draw, had them both winning a round and the one round a toss up. Personally I can't stand Bisping so I was happy about the outcome, but Sonnen looked terrible compared to how he has looked in the past.
I was hoping Phil Davis would look better, but it looks like Rashad is back to the boring fighter that came off TUF.
Maia really disappointed me, even when it hit the ground he did not show his BJJ prowress like in his first 8 or so fights in the UFC.
I would have been kind of upset if I had paid PPV $$ for that set of fights.

They aren't going to second guess it, they are in this for the long run to grow this sport. They signed a 7 year deal. Not every fight is going to be great but the UFC needs to put on better match ups that are going to draw the casual fans in. This card was the first card in almost a year that was underwhelming, I honestly can't remember a PPV within the last 6-8 months that hasn't been great. They have been on a great run recently but they have to analyze the potential of these match ups. To us,the hardcore fans, we enjoy the whole set skills of MMA, grappling included. The casual fan viewing for the first time wants to see something exciting, more so in the stand up. Then as they become interested they can learn the ground game and positioning and battling for submissions and things of that nature. Nick Diaz vs Carlos Condit should have been the fight they put on FOX.jmog;1070263 wrote:So far Fox might be rethinking this idea. I 100% agree with you, my background/interest in in grappling. I have studied wrestling, BJJ, and Judo and that's the part of the sport I love. I was being semi-sarcastic about the Fox thing since I knew they inked a 7 year deal.robj55;1070272 wrote:They aren't going to second guess it, they are in this for the long run to grow this sport. I was just saying since a huge portion of the viewers on the network cards are casual fans last night had to go over like a lead balloon.

i don't think anyone would've predicted these outcomes. Also, if Munoz doesn't get hurt i bet Bisping finishes Maia and i think the Munoz would've TKO'd sonnen (just personal opinion). So the injury really threw off the match ups.jmog;1070350 wrote:I 100% agree with you, my background/interest in in grappling. Thoughts:
- The main card for UFC on Fox: Evans vs. Davis was virtually unbearable to watch
- The Middleweight bout: Demian Maia vs. Chris Weidman was quite possibly one of the worst fights I have ever seen
- Sonnen vs. Bisping
- I was slightly disappointed with Chael Sonnen
- I thought Bisping looked pretty damn good (much better than I was giving him credit for going into the fight)
- I actually had Bisping winning the bout (Sonnen clearly won the 3rd, but I think you could make an argument that Bisping won rounds 1 & 2
- Sonnen's post-but interview was straight WWE The Rock. It was AWESOME.
- I was extremely disappointed in the Light Heavyweight bout: Rashad Evans vs. Phil Davis
- Rashad lost some esteem IMO because he was unable to take out Davis who looked completely over matched
- Davis looks like he can be a star, but he just seems to lack those world-class fighting skills and cutthroat mentality
- Very glad this was free because it was a card I probably would have bought and it ended up being a huge snooze-fest.

I'm pretty sure he said that Davis looked overmatched, not Evans.Raw Dawgin' it;1070992 wrote:lol cause getting a guy in a crucifix means you're totally over matched, smh. He walked through Davis and barley broke a sweat. Evans knew a win meant a title shot and there was no way he was going to risk not getting his shot at Jones again. But man, to think he looked over matched, what the hell were you watching? ha

I didn't think it was that bad considering Weidman only had 11 days to game plan, get as fit as possible, and cut weight.Scarlet_Buckeye;1070988 wrote:Thoughts:

The only fight I've seen of his that was boring was the Daley fight, normally he puts on a great show. Plus he's the guy everyone hates and wants to see get his ass kicked which is entertaining in itself lol.Hb31187;1072166 wrote:Im sure Kos will put on another show of absolutely no entertainment

I can't stand Kos but he hasn't been a boring fighter. Evans, Fitch, etc can be called boring fighters, but not typically Koscheck.
I think he is a huge bag of douche, but not a boring fighter.
