Rampage says he has more respect for Jones than Evans because Jones actually fought him... Also says it was the first time he's lost a fight where he was in his best shape.
This came after a reporter asked Rampage about the Evans - Jones fight.
Rampage then says Evans has been saying how he has Jones' #.... This actually gets Jones to talk about Evans, something he said he wasn't going to do. Jones says he sparred with Evans a few times and Evans DOESN'T have his #, yet Evans lives the moment of holding Jones down on the mat once. That drew some laughter... Jones then said "You'll see"..

Hoops, I actually like Jones. The dude is a freak.
I don't think he would win big over Spider though.

He's an exciting fighter to watch and is incredibly skilled. I just don't think he's likeable as a person from what I've seen in interviews and stuff.hoops23;909784 wrote:Huh, that's funny... I like him.. He's been my favorite fighter in the UFC since his debut. I've followed his career from day 1 in the UFC and he gets better and better with each fight. He's only 24 as well... Scary.
Of course if I was famous at my age (I'm young like him) I'd probably have a gigantic ego as well.

However, I do think Jones would beat Silva. I do know one thing, it'd most likely be a hell of a match. Two very unorthodox styles.
However, Jones has a reach, height, strength, and weight advantage over Silva. Silva would have to put 20 pounds on to make that fight happen.
I think people can stop dreaming though, it's not gonna happen. Silva is 37. Jones still has a few fights with LHW left, such as Evans, Phil Davis, and maybe even Machida.
While I wouldn't pick any of those guys over Jones, shit happens. Silva has lost before by getting caught in a bad spot.
Too many things to get through before a Silva - Jones fight would even be thought about, by then Silva may be retiring.

I guess. I don't have a problem with huge egos or arrogance when you're a great fighter. IMO, it's part of what makes you great. Though, Jones has never really come across to me as being egotistical. Everybody always talks about how humble he is and how he's usually a quiet person.I Wear Pants;909808 wrote:He's an exciting fighter to watch and is incredibly skilled. Rampage even talked about his humbleness after the fight. Jones went up to Rampage and gave him a kiss on the cheek and told him how he's looked up to him for a long time and that he was glad this was all over.

Oh I know you weren't the one who said it. I was just throwing the statement out there. I concur though about a Bones/Spider match up probably never happening. Just like a GSP/Spider match up will never happen. Jones will probably be the champ for a while.hoops23;909809 wrote:He might not win "big", but I wasn't the one who said that.

Btw, never buy a PPV off of UFC.tv
UFC lost the fucking English Broadcast of the stream for nearly 20 minutes. I tried contacting their live chat support site but that crashed due to the amount of traffic it received b/c of this. I then got this e-mail
Over on Sherdog I guess some people got nasty e-mails from the UFC about this.

Thoughts from tonight:
Nate Diaz put on the best performance of his career and put a clinic on Gomi. He seemingly landed every shot he threw and hurt him a few times. His BJJ is sick and those transitions were amazing.
Gomi needs to re evaluate things but is still a really exciting fighter, expect to see him on the UFC Japan card.
Travis Browne has a world of potential and seemed like he was trying to showcases more than just his knockout power tonight, only problem is that he gassed in that process.
Broughton is a tough gatekeeper who is a tough fight for anyone in the division.
The Mark Hunt and Ben Rothwell fight was great to me even though both guys gassed badly, what a grueling fight. It blew my mind that Mark Hunt was so improved in wrestling and on the mat, never in my mind did I think that Mark Hunt would almost win by arm bar, almost shit myself lol.
Rothwell is lucky he wasn't ktfo, he couldn't even raise his arms to block punches in the 3rd and took some bombs right on the chin, unreal toughness against a knockout artists like Hunt.
Matt Hughes was doing well until he lost composure and started brawling, he was hitting Kos with that jab and follow up left hook. It may be time for him to step away from the sport however, two KO's in a row and he is 37.
Koscheck looked impressive in his comeback from a huge layoff, would like to see him go to 185 and make a run there but who knows what is next for him.
Rampage looked sharp to me, his TDD was on point and head movement was great. Seemed like he just couldn't find the range all night and when he did get inside he didn't let his hands go. He was throwing one punch instead of throwing combinations like he should have been. Didn't get walked through like Shogun like most predicted.
Jones looked sharp all night, used his clinch to wear on Quinton and used his range very well. Seems to get more comfortable every time he steps out there but he is not unbeatable imo. I don't think Rashad has any chance at all but he can atleast negate some of the speed that Jones had. Great night of fights overall!

Just because Rampage lost the fight doesn't mean Bones wasn't worried about Rampage catching him but I guess I Wear Pants and myself are the only two who could see him worry. I'm not sure who will be able to beat him at this point.
Anyways as far as 136 goes I'm just really not that into the little guys. I have very little interest in Maynard/Edgar or Aldo/Florian. I just don't really care for Frankie at all and won't Kenny just try and take Aldo down and lay on him?

Good ppv last night I was happy I ordered always sucks to see a former great get his head pounded in esp by a doocher like Kos but he was impressive in doing so. Rampage looked good he would have beat a lot of people with the way he fought last night but Jones just throws shit from left field and slowly dismantled Rampage til he submitted him.
